Holy crap what a good episode. I think that was the first time in this show that they actually lost a fight. It wasn't like "Oh hey just kidding about the title and Asuma's just going to wake up and kick ass simply with will power and somehow magically gain Love chakra because he wants to go make babies with Kurenai or some bullshit like that and even though he's so fucked up and the odds in his favor suck they're going to win and it's going to be awesomely unrealistic but we'll be happy." Because that is the kind of crap that Naruto wins his fights with. Thank you for leaving will power as Naruto's and only Naruto's special ability and for the bullshit free episode. Powerful stuff.

judjing by their moves and techniques,i think itachi wins.
Because whenever itachi gets hit,it will become a shadow clone or sometin like that but kakuzu always takes a direct hit.So my guess is Itachi is much smarter and stronger than kakuzu.

if all the good guys survie in a show wouldnt you think it was boring? thats why they have to kill certain charcters..if you think about during the whole series asuma didnt really make that many apperences compared to the other characters of naruto

asuma is dead! this is really a sad episode, and even though asuma wasn't all that skill well he was very loyal to his comrades. it made tears come out of my eyes when hidan gave him the last blow, damn I hate hidan but at the same time I think he's cool.

Its REALLY sad that Asuma dies and all, but this was a good episode:). It gathered suspense, and it had ALOT of action in it. The only bad thing is the title- "Asuma Dies". Woo hoo, THAT builds suspense*cough cough*. They could've done better on that =P
