<p>At the end of Naruto and Sasuke's fight, Naruto scratched Sasuke's forehead protector because Sasuke said he wouldn't be able to. Sasuke also was about to aim Chidori into Naruto but he stopped himself at the last second and missed hitting anything vital. Sasuke knew that Itachi would want him to kill Naruto to get the Mangekyo Sharingan and so Sasuke didn't give Itachi the satisfaction of watching his little brother follow in his footsteps.</p>
