You know... I don't think Naruto is trying to physically get Sasuke back. I think he wants the respect that Sasuke used to have for him before he found out he could get stronger with Orochimaru. Naruto just wants to be acknowledged like he used to be. Thats why he doesnt argue so much when people tell him about Sasuke betraying him and all. He really doesnt care. He just wants to be needed and acknowledged.

lol. It's irritating! All my friends think it's some kind of kids show, becaus they know I like to watch that. But really! If they just had any idea of how much blood and shit it is in these shows! They wouldn't call it so childish anymore! And when I try to get em to watch it, they're like "Just cuz you haven't grown up, doesn't mean haven't" XD Same when it's about Death Note! gaah, I hate it!
They should really understand that anime isn't just for kids!

I think Sai's (or WHATEVER his name is) emotions are coming back. You can tell by his eyes when Naruto made his speech (by the way, I thought that speech was freakin' AWESOME!). If they come back I think I would like Sai more than I do now. I like him as much as I like Deidara, well a little less. I mean i like Deidara because he's funny, sometimes he's cute, like I said sometimes, seldom he is.

WHY DOES THE VIDEO STICK ABOUT EVERY 2 SECONDS? IT IS SO ANNOYING! SOMEONE PLEASE FIX IT AND FAST!!!!!

I really liked Naruto before the timeskip, He was really cute and funny! Now hes all like "must save sasuke!" and hes too serious. I miss all the humor and akward moments. I still love Naruto but maybe they could bring back some humor?
Btw I went back to watch some episodes before the timeskip and omg Naruto eyes are HUGE compared with now!

See, I would stop complaining about the slow pace, but I don't agree that theres very much character development going on in this episode. Most of the dialouge is punctuated by pointless pauses and flashbacks (I wouldn't mind the flashbacks so much if they were of things that we didn't see happening but they always show you things that you aleady know have happened.)

Lol I do agree though Dbz was much /much/ worse for dragging things out. Although in dbz instead of pauses for flash backs they have pauses to let the characters sound constipated...

i have watched episode 1-70 on toonami which was over like overt a period of 6 months or something, but then i got sick of waiting so i went and watched the rest in a month so yea, im not a noob, and i am definitely a fan

I just wish people would stop dwelling on the fact that naruto moves at a slow pace. It allows for deeper character development, and always remember it could be worse. (dare I mention dbz)

I loved naruto when he was twelve, but I think the producers of naruto ship. are taking the micky recently. In bleach for instance, even if theres no fighting, the storyline is generally alot more fast-paced, and for one thing interesting. What the hell happened to naruto, everyones so serious all the time now. And I agree that the animation has taken a turn for the worse. Along with naruto being portrayed as a massively one-dimensional character: ' I will definitely rescue Sasuke this time!'. The writers need a massive rethink. BRING BACK FUN, FAST NARUTO!

why the heck are some people can't wait. naruto is not just about fighting. it's about the characters too. so just lay back and wait. the fighting will come sooner...

the direction and animation of this episode was seriously lame...

personally i liked how they stopped fighting for a moment and talked about sai. Naruto isnt and shouldnt all be about fighting, its about the characters as well. I guess you all just cant wait and want to watch episode 49 NOW and end this tortorous waiting, i am too, but you dont have to cuss it out. Sasuke will come... and i have a feeling he's waaaaaay stronger than before.

Since we had to wait for two weeks for episode 48, were we not promised an episode 48 & 49 hour special?

Bleh....................The anime drags things out sooo much. I read this bit in the manga in like 5-10 minutes. I understand why things have to take longer in the anime, but I think they're over-doing it a bit.
Even so - can't wait for the next ep! We're just coming up to the good parts!
