Hey, here's a new one!!

The wind, the rain;
The blood, the pain;
The sweat, the tears;
The joys, the fears;
The good, the bad;
The happy, the sad;
Our lives are built
On these foundations
A sovereign tale;
The tale of our nations;
The tale of the men
Who died at sea;
The tale of millions of families;
The tale of hardships, of lost hope, of lost paths;
The tale is written more each day;
'Till we one day will close the book.

Since there seems to be a trend of poetry among profiles, I will add mine.

We never see until it comes;
We never feel until it's done;
A blinding light;
A piercing scream;
A soothing hand;
Brought you to me.

What is the present?
Is it a tick of a clock;
The blink of an eye;
The sound of the wind;
As time passes by?
What is the present?
The grain sand that trickles down;
The hourglass until it's turned around;
Then it's gone in a flash;
Gone to the past.
