Well in a Naruto forum they are easily "Not Heard of" because these animes came way before it yes they did have some exposure but it was brief and now they are legendary animes floating in the abyss there time has passed and not alot of the new people that got into anime know or ever heard of these ones.... Mostly only the older crowd are aware.

Devilman Amon
Beserker
Ninja scrolls
hellsing.

@mynameis if you haven't seen the anime for elfen lied I highly recomend it.. atleast watch the first episode its a must see xD

I'm gonna go ahead and throw Mononoke into the mix. Not Princess Mononoke. Its a classic horror anime. The art is fantastic. Very traditional looking but with crazy color. Its great. Easily ties for number one in my top anime list.
