The world as we know it is changing. People with extraordinary abilities are emerging in the world with varying consequences for the individuals who discover them. Some of these individuals advance humans if you will, have shown the ability to fly, others demonstrated phenomenal feats of strength, others have super speed, while still other have more cerebral abilities like telepathy or to the ability tocancel out abilities all together. Most of the worlds normal population is oblivious to the existence of these remarkable individual who hide in plain sight. For all you the know it could be the person sitting next to you on the bus. A co-worker at your job, even a friend at school. Some of these individuals could be classified as Heroes. Those who use their abilities as gifts to help and protect mankind. Others will hide their abilities in a vain attempt to live a normal lives, considering their gifts to be a curse as it tears sometimes slowly at the life they try so hard to keep. Still others will use their abilities for more sinister causes, such, destruction, murder, or lust for power. These individuals allow their gifts to consume them and become Villains or perhaps they we’re all along. Who will you be? What will you do? What journey will you take? Will you try to save the world or will you strive to create chaos for your own twisted pleasure? The choice is your yours, choose wisely.

~ 2010 ~

The world I come from is in shatters, over half of the population of the world will be wiped out in the great war. In the not to distant future a corporation known as Fiber Ware Incorporated will be granted defense contracts from the major powers of the world brave new technologies meant to maintain the balance of power in the world. That was the beginning of the end as it turned out. The Ceo Miranda Williams had orchestrated an incredible coup and using her new system she was able to take over the incredible arsenals of the world with the push of a button. Holding the world hostage Miranda is able to negotiate with many leaders of the world and gain absolute control over much of the world.

For a short time the world was at peace. However as the oppressive hand of Fiber Ware began to oppress the freedoms of the populace pockets of resistance began to form. The group of freedom fighters was grossly out matched even with many evolved humans fighting for the cause but they still won several battles. The bloody fighting would continue on for the next 4 years, ultimately the resistance would be wiped out in the conflict.

My name is Troku Himura and I am one of the few survivors of this conflict. That is why I have comeback to this time to leave this important message. Miranda Williams and Fiber Ware are the key. Stop her and you may well save the world, fail and I fear that history will repeat itself. Now I must go for I risk a rift in space time itself.

1. No Godmodding this includes taking control of another character without permission. Making your character all powerful and all perfect. All the usual stuff.
2. Characters may end up dead in this RP. However if it comes to that it needs approval from both parties or it doesn’t happen.
3. When you sign up try to stay active. I know we all have lives in the real world, I know I do still active participation is import.
4. Keep the threads clean. If you need to discuss something do it here.
5. Since each of our characters could be anywhere in the world I would like you to begin each post with your character name / location so that we don’t loose track of where everyone is.
6. Try to be original with your characters. While I won’t forbid it (unless its abused) I don’t want everyone picking the same ability so please see what other players are using before you pick one.
7. For now I only want 1 character per person. I might open this up down the line but to start off just 1. If your character dies you may create another character if you wish.
8. Any NPC you create is free for you to use. If you wish to interact with another players NPC please ask the person who created it.

Abilities
The list of Abilites available for you to choose from are many. Those with abilities are often called Evolved humans, Meta humans, or even less flattering terms like freak or monster. Here are a couple of places to go. You will choose 1 to 2 ability to start with and develop. Later in the story if you wish to develop a second or third ability I will open it up. Weapons

This roleplay takes place in the here and now which means that weapons in this world are what you should expect to see in the real world. They include but aren’t limited to swords, guns, bombs, anything really. Heck a baseball bat would work in a pinch. You don’t have to have a weapon, but if your ability is passive or non- offense oriented such as rapid cell regeneration, flight, or invisibility you may want one.

Other Equipment

Watches, vehicles, sunglasses, computers. Like with weapons these are items you can find in the real world.

Skills

These are everyday ordinary skills that all of us have. Some have computer skills, some are athletic, others are good with words, some are pilots.

Job

Does your character work or are they still in school. Again these are normal jobs that you can expect to find today.

yep this is based on the premise of the tv show but I intend an original story and world.

Personality: Troku is a man who believes in honor,loyalty and responsibility above all else, despite that he is a kind man with a giving heart. He believes in doing the right thing always, and since gaining his ability has vowed to use it responsibly. Since the death of his father Troku has sought to bring those responsible to justice.
Family and Friends: His father is Kenji Himura (Desceased) Mother Caitlin Himura 56.
Job: Ceo of Himura telecommunications
History: Troku was born the son of a wealthy businessman and his wife and is descended from a long line of samurai. Because of his fathers wealth Troku studied at the best schools in the world so that one day he would take his fathers place and lead the family business into the next generation. Troku’s training was not limited exclusively to his mind, almost as soon he could walk his father began training him in the arts of Kenjutsu, Battojutsu and many other unarmed fighting forms.

When he was twenty Troku first learned of his abilities while on a climbing trip with his father up Everest. The weather started off clear but as they climbed an unexpected storm system moved in making continued ascent unwise. Deciding that discretion was the better part of valor the father and son climbers decided to turn around but the descent was becoming just as treacherous. During the descent Troku lost his footing as the path began to crumble, Troku tumbled off the ridge apparently to his death. Moments later however Troku realizes that he is no longer falling, but laying on a sunny beach. Not knowing what had happened Troku begins to experiment trying to activate his ability again. Focusing on the mountain where his father was Troku once again teleports to Mount Everest. When he arrives he is shocked to see that he and his father are climbing up the mountain. Deciding that it would be unwise to alter these events Troku follows but remains out of sight. As before the weather deteriorates and he see’s himself falling from the ridge much to his fathers horror. Moment later Troku decides it is time for him reveal himself and he explains what happened to him.

Not long after Troku’s father was murdered by a mysterious invisible assassin. Using his ability to travel back through time Troku travels back through time in an attempt to save his father. Kenji however tells him that he cannot, and explains that time doesn’t work that way, and explains that he is meant to die and that the danger in distorting the space time continuum is too dangerous and should only be attempted under the gravest of circustances. Reluctantly Troku agree’s to his fathers wisdom and returns to his own time but not before installing a hidden infrared security camera. Vowing to bring those responsible for his fathers death to justice Troku begins an investigation starting with the new security footage which finally shows him the face of his fathers invisible killer. Using his families resources to identify and track the man .

Ability: Space time manipulation this ability allow Troku to slow, stop, reverse time, travel through time both forward and backward, and teleport through space
Skills: Troku Himura is a practioner of Kenjutsu, Battojutsu and several forms of unarmed combat having been trained in the disciplines by his father who was a master. He has better than average intelligence, but he is not a genius and can come up with new strategies on the fly. Fluent in English along with his native tongue.
Equipment and personal items: Katana, rolex watch a gift from his father on his 18th birthday, personal laptop with all the evidence he has on the man who killed his father
Strengths: Has strong moral code, that guides his life. Trained to fight. Vast financial resources.
Weaknesses: Because of his code he often tries to put everything on his own shoulders, which makes failure difficult for him to except. He is also socially awkward around women.
He is still learning how to control his ability as he often times ends up off target.

Alright, I read through the rules section and will consent and ban the following abilities. Empathic Mimicry, Intuitive aptitude, and power absorbtion. I hope that is fair.

Omega 5000 Telekinesis it is. or if you still want something close to mimicry you could always go with Ability Replication (Peter's) Current ability of being able to borrow and use one ability at a time, it is of course up to you.

The other definition is for total Omniscience

He got his driver license when he was 16 and because he lives in a dangerous neighborhood, he was thought Kick Boxing and Karate since he was 6, he is now a black-belt in both.
He also loves listening to music, it sodden him, he carries his iPod everywhere with him.

I would go with the first one. He could know anything about a persons past, present, future. The cause of how they may die, ect.

He could figure out anything in mere instances. (Example: Find out who has passed by a rock in the last 1000 years it had been there) Shit like that.

But, even if he knew what would happen, like a punch being thrown, he wouldnt be able to dodge it, cos he still has normal human reflexes and stuff.
