Of all the posts in this thread, this is the most awesome post ever.

Also, I wasn't taking it out on howling, who actually made defensive arguments back, in which I responded with my own tone, which yes, did sound uhh, angry. Just let it slide, I'm just like that.

I agree with Ichi... this is definantly a cult (I'm not meaning any offense in this...)

And what Shino said makes sense really...

And Stian makes a good arguement

But other than that... I don't really agree with a religion that is based around a god thats only desire is to see you bleed and make others feel pain and die... It just seems more like a kid with a magnifying glass and an ant hill to me... Again no offense intended just my opinion...

ALL religions are cults. There is almost no one that follows there religion to the full extent and why should anyone? All religions have been manipulated by man and anything man made isnt trustworthy but then again anything that helps you better and cope with your life right? @ichi and yes rin is AWSOME because this is a AWSOME thread/topic xD

Personally I'll agree with Ichi on this one.
I'm not a very religious person, never was and probably never will be. However, some religions interest me, others I find to be too close to extremes and jashinism is one of them.
As it's been said, this is just a cult,that became popular after Kishi introduced Hidan in the story. And the fact that you find what Shikamaru said offensive is just silly. It's just a line, a script.
sacrifices, I never understood theyr purpose, no matter what religion it is. What cand a godly being do with the blood of a dead goat or fly in this case? Do flies even have blood?
Anyway, this is just my opinion on things and sorry if I offended anyone.
