Are you for Obama or for Mcain? I just wondered because the election is almost there.
If I could vote, I'd vote for Obama. Because... Well... I don't like old hags. And because Obama is younger, I think. And he's black! I'd like to see how the first black American President managed to get such a big country as the U.S.A out of the crisis. And: If Obama realises half of what he promised. Then is Obama already better than Mcain. So... Tell me who and why you'd vote for if you were an American who could vote. ![]() EDIT: Obama has won the elections! With: - 52 percent against 47. - 338 Electoral vote against 163 - 60,940,797 against 54,435,254 Last edited by Thunderbox; 11-11-2008 at 03:45 PM. |

well im registered independent... so i am not really either i guess... but i dont particularly care for either of the candidates... i dont really wanna say who i voted for cause its personal, but it was a hard choice because neither of them are really what i feel should be in office.

McCain for me... I dont agree on all of his policies, but I think McCain has the chops and the experience to lead the country and keep the US protected during times like this... He might be old, yes... but in my mind, serving as a prisoner of war and still fighting for our country in office all these years later is a big deal.. Regarding the crisis... thats something that cant be fixed by a president alone. I think its something that will get itself back on track..obviously with the aid of good leadership and whatever but that aside, I think McCains plans to cut taxes and create jobs are honest.
Im only not prone to Obama because of all the shady business that hasnt been addressed. If something goes public, explain it.. thats all I ask. Plus, he's already broken one promise.. He said a year ago that he would accept public financing and work with the Republican nominee to ensure that they both operated within those limits. Obama has used well over $600 million for his campaign...compared to McCains spendings that were somewhere near $84 million. Thats one broken promise and it makes me wonder what that means in the future? |

I pray to God everyday that Obama wins the White House elections.
McCain is like... so much conservative. He's really not my type. And the main reason I want Obama to win is because I want the USA to take off their nose out of Iraq and Arabic countries. |

I'm for McCain. Barack is a nice fellow with good looks and charisma, but the White House needs more than that. McCain has the experience and know-how for the job. Also, I've been examining their plans very closely and while both of them suck, McCain's just won't shove us into a worker bee socialist society where the low class stays low, the high class stays high, and the middle class is nearly non-existent. That's just a couple reasons why I would vote McCain rather than Obama.
Also, anyone who votes Obama because he's black is a RACIST, because that is judging someone by their skin and not their policy. You can argue morals all you want, but that's the simple fact. |

Hmmm. You guys got me wondering. Now I heared all that, I don't really know what to say.
Even if Mcain is more expierence than Obama. Obama can gain expierence while he is president. But of course you already have lots of expierence to be a president. But Mcain does has something in common with the Bush regime. So... Maybe it'll will all stay the same if Mcain is elected. Well... glad I ain't an American ![]() |

Just another thing to throw out there about Obama... the confusion about his very possible ties to socialism/communism is unsettling for me...I know somebody will probably rip on me for that, but I wish Obama would actually explain his position on socialism and anything related to the big ordeal about spreading the wealth around instead of denying it or circling around it.. |
