Lol i didnt you guys liked Phelps im following the olympic games, especially Phelps...lets see if he can take 8 golds.

for the relay they were using their reserve team...Phelps was resting for the finals.

From what I've found, they haven't even swam the finals for that yet. They won't do that until tomorrow, and Michael Phelps did qualify for it, but I wouldn't be too surprised if they put in a reserve team.... The US took second in the womans 400 freelay...

EDIT: I forgot to hit post... I see what you said now Naruto, sorry for repeating the same thing...

It was just a qualifier, so the best 4 swimmers from all the US teams are on the finals team.

I think he can, but I know from experience that you have to be careful of the people you wouldn't expect. He's off to a good start though.

These kids were trained when they were very very young, most of them don't have much friends since they're at the gym 3-5 hrs per day for 5-10 years...seriously, confinements does things to ya.

8 is ambitious, I dunno....but my guesses would be somewhere up there for sure. He's a superb athlete no doubt but you know it's like everything else. The more eager and you end up failing, it does weird things to these type of individuals psychologically.

No, that race was not just Phelps. If any of the other swimmers had done something to bring down the relay, one or two bad turns, a bad start, or worse, a false start, even michael phelps couldn't have done anything. A relay is a team event, You can't win with one swimmer.
