Well, it's midnight, or at least it will be by the time I put this up...
Now look closely, remember, you have to read very carefully. Daily Brainteaser #2: March 24, 2008 Two of the fastest horsemen in the kingdom proposed to the king's daughter. The king didn't like either of them, but to look fair he suggested a race for just the two of them, and the outcome of the race would determine which would have his daughter's hand. The only catch was that the winner of the race would be the person whose horse came in second. The king was certain the race would never take place because neither would let the other win and forfeit the lady. Finally, she made a suggestion that would guarantee a fair race. What did she suggest? Daily Brainteaser #3 A man boasted about his marksmanship with the following claim: He said he was able to hang up his hat, walk 50 meters after being blindfolded, and then turn and shoot a bullet through the hat. When put to the test, much to the audience's shock he did it! He could not see out of the blindfold. How did he accomplish this?

Well if I read correctly this time, lol. The story specifies that the person whose horse comes in second declares the winner. So wouldn't it be possible to let the horses decide it without anyone riding them? (something like dog racing where they chase after something, like maybe a carrot? lol)

well mayb after he hung up his hat he used his feet as a marking point for the location of the target and then just memorized how high up it was so that once blind folded he just walked n a str8 line and turned carefully to keep his feet lined up and then raised his gun and fired!
