OoC: How would she know exactly where he is considering all the mist around? Again lets keep OoC chatter to a minimum! Plus Ithyphaillic by Nile owns all cds...You ALL need to know that.

The black serpent crawled out of the water just east of Shen and Aer. It crept almost silently. As if it wasn't even there. Or above water. The only thing that showed it was above water was the ripples in the water it made while getting out. It could smell Shen and Aer. It slowly began to creep up behind them. Preparing to consume its meal.

It growled quietly as it snuck up on the 2 enemies opening its mouth trying to kill them and bite into them.

Landen heard the commotion stop in the distance. He let the charge temporarily drop from his hand. Making his way along he got to the group. They were alittle scattered but not far just going by their voices. He really hadnt been tossed to badly himself or so he thought. It was impossible to judge distance in the fog. After listening for a moment he realized he wasnt hearing a voice. Noir. "Noir were are you?" he called out but not to loudly hoping she was near by. When no sound came he kept walking hoping to find her. It was at this point that landen started to feel a pain in his chest. Feeling down his armor he was scared to figure out what he might find. There was a huge dent and crack in the armor were the thing had hit him and he started to smell alittle blood. Probobly where a shard of his own armor had cut him. Atleast it wasnt anything bad.

ooc: I think its funny how our characters are oblivious to the fact that the snake is out of the water and after ichi's characters and the fact that noir lost her voice...this is such a drama lol

Seth-Raine slowly began to drag himself away from the trees. He stood up and groaned. He was in considerable amount of pain. He heard Landen call out. He did his best to walk towards the voice. He chugged towards the voice. Several times all he did was hit a tree.

"Landen? Landen!" He whispered. Well...More of a quiet talk. He was hoping he could find Landen and then they could get to finding the others. Especially Noir.

[Exaltations]

Noir looked around frantically to find her friends, taking a few steps but when it made the water at her feet make a sound, she was scared that the serpent would come after her, and her own moving would make it impossible to hear. She closed her eyes shut for a second, and realized that only made her fear worse, so she opened them. She shook her head and tried to say something, but it didn't work.

She tried another means of contact, she kicked the water slightly, splashing a little and hoping they'd find her. Though they could assume it was the serpent and attack.

Seth-Raine heard a light splashing. Almost automatically he freaked out. He scrambled a few branches high into the tree. He looked around. The mist was just as thick there as it was any where else. He pondered what caused this thick fog. Was it the serpent? Was it these freaky looking trees called Cypress trees?

He had no idea. The sun didn't even seem to penetrate through the thick fogs. Seth-Raine hugged the tree for dear life as the splashing continued. But...He figured it would have stopped. He slowly climbed down and step by step made his way to the sound.

[Naomi]

Landen heard a voice. It took him a moment but he realized it was seth-raines. He sounded injured. "He seth just keep talking and ill find you." landen said as he walked towards were he had heard seth-raines voice come from. Landen was realy worried now. Seth sounded injured noir hadnt said a word and no one else could be heard either. As landen kept walking he evetualy found someone. Then he realized a splashing could be heard. At first he froze but with no were to go just stood there. Eventually he realized the splashing couldnt be the serpent so he began to walk towrads it.

"So, another retreater...", said Shen as he noticed Noir's traumatized state, everything fell silent except for everyone's voices, the silence that surrounded them, was that of anticipation, it made noise feel like an alien sort of thing. They should get through this as quickly as possible.

"I wouldn't be too sure Shen, it might only be away to simply recuperate, I'm sure it'll be...", Aer trailed off as his eyes widened.

"what?...", it felt strange, but it didn't seem Aer was able to speak at the moment. But after a quick moment, he noticed the ground that he stood on, was beginning to show signs of strange movement, and with that, he felt an oh so very brief shadow loom over him. With the metallic sound of his sword, he swung around, swinging his sword as he did so. And what he met face to face, was with the very same serpent. That, or just a similar acquaintance. Either way, it was more than a surprise to see it again so soon. As the only thing that separate Shen from the deadly claws of his predator, was his sword, solid and sharp as it were, even a wind powered blade cannot penetrate the fangs that his sword met. Shen's eyes darted off of his opponent only for a moment, to check his surroundings, so it chose the perfect time... When everyone else ran off to a nearby spot, where they couldn't be found. But it expected to take a mage and an assassin all on it's own?

Aer dashed back as he screamed to Shen,

"Dash away when I give the signal", Shen just listened as he grunted, with wrestling the snake's mighty jaws, it wriggled and writhed as it tried to over power him.

"I who stand in the light of the heavens, command thee who open the gates of hell, come forth! Divine Lightning!", and at this moment, Shen thought to himself.

"Not this one again...",

"INDIGNATION!", and at that moment, Shen dashed back as fast as he could, as magic circles appeared in the air above the black serpent, and with one mighty roar, the thunder struck the long beast as it writhed and burned under the scorching thunder.

"You know Aer... You should really stop using that, you're a wind mage, not a thunder mage",

"You do very well know that Indignation is cooler right?",

"Why didn't you become a thunder mage then?", argued Shen as the snake slowly got up, with smoke emanating from it as it struggled. The two didn't seem to even notice.

"Because, we're part of the Sky Hawks clan",

"so? some of us Sky Hawks became thunder users",

"yes, but they weren't as effective in that field as they were in wind right?",

"You're just lucky you raise a good point there", said Shen as he pointed his finger in Aer's face. As the snake roared again, Aer swung his hands over aroudn behind his head as the remaining thunder in the snake, blasted it into a smoking heap, back into the lake. Upon the sound of the snake delving into the depths of it's home, Shen looked to the snake's original position,

"see, now look what you did... You incinerated it".

The Black Serpent twitched slightly at the 2 Mystics lousy techniques. They smoldered a part of its body. It snuck back into the lake and swam about silently. Growling in the water. It approached the northern part of the lake.

It peered out. Making a few ripples in the lake. Tiny ones though. He crept around. Sniffing out the Mystics. He caught onto there scent and turned towards Noir, Landen and Seth-Raine. Waiting for its moment.

[Exaltations]

Noir stopped splashing after some time when she was sure she could hear someone walking. Did they figure it was her. She stopped and looked to the direction the sound came from, squinting in the hopes of getting a better view to see if someone was coming. Eventually she saw two sorts of shadows, both tall but one was quite big, and she was sure that was Landen. She only needed to take a few steps to get to them.

She opened her mouth, again, nothing could come out, so she closed it. She was right in front of them, right there, and she couldn't even ask if they were alright. She lifted each of her hands and put them gently against one cheek to each male, frowning. She couldn't do anything to communicate except touch, because communication by voice wasn't too handy, and neither was communication by sight.
