Okay, I'm not back, but I'm making this RP NOW before the want for one like this leaves, and on top of that, it gives you more time to really, really work on your character.
Astrology is one of my two passions (Philosophy is the second, so they somewhat twine together sometimes) so I REALLY want this to be a great-quality RP.

The year is now 2036, the place is North America, specifically New-York city.

After a meteor shower on the earth twenty-six years prior to the story (2008), a big chunk of the human population was taken out, and although the loss of over 3 billion was devastating, the scientists of America managed to read the benefits of the disaster, as always.

One of the meteors hit Southern California, causing huge tsunami waves and wiping out most people in the west half of North America. This meteor, although small, was blue and glowing, and when they got close, cool to the touch. Obviously something quite uncommon for a rock that fell from the sky at many, many miles per second.

Scientists from New York took it into their lab and begun to do experiments on this strange meteor, as suspected it was not one of the meteors from the extinct comet Phaeton like the rest of the meteors. When they cut the rock open to see if it was different at the core, they found it was, on the inside, there were 12 symbols on 12 different stoned embedded into the rock, all of them exactly like the symbols used on earth for the 12 Western Zodiac signs. What's more is each stone contained genetic material.

It was only a year later that scientists started gathering babies from their continent born under each sign and preformed an experiment with the child and the small stones. It was hard considering North America's population was low from the showers, but four years later they managed to get a baby for each sign.

The result of this experiment were twelve children with warped human DNA. They put all these children in an apartment building with surveillance cameras, hiring people to raise the children until they were 16, from then, they lived on their own being watched every second of the day as they grew.

The scientists learned that their powers only begun to barely develop around the same time their guardians left.

Of course the same time the powers of these children developed, they were realizing what was going on, since they had access to internet and television, they knew they were being tested like lab rats, and all they did was speak with their eyes to know they all planned to run away, they couldn't say it out loud or their chances would be ruined.

So they did, they broke out of the apartments through the window and ran into the busy streets of New York, choosing to have their own, un-surveyd life in the city. But people were on the hunt for them, the children with oddities about them, and the fact that they barely had control over their powers.

Name: Layla Faemyc (Lay-la Fay-mic) (was lyla but SOMEBODY *looks at gen* desided to use layla and cause everyone else to do the same.

Birthday: August 30th
Age: 17
Appearance: Long , brown, curly hair that is just above her knees. She is quite tall, considering her age, and she very tan. She has one brown eye and one green eye, but the shades are so dark that you have to be close to her to see that she has different colored eyes that aren't black.
About them: She enjoys art and sports, but has trouble making long lasting relationships. Could be considered a partial punk.
Personality: Extremely shy around new people, but very comfortable with friends. She is usually dependable, but can be quite forgetful. Often over analyzes something and when explaining something to someone, she makes it very confusing and hard to understand. An overall conservative person, but has a few that aren't considering she's harsh, critical, and a perfectionist BUT is for some reason very unorganized. Is too intelligent for her own good and often gets worried and is considered pessimistic. She also often hurts herself because she is constantly doing something. Is stubborn when it come to her opinions, a constant arguer.

Ability: She doesn't know what her ability is because when she was born she put a chip in her brain to prevent her from using it. But she does have a sort of special ability because the chip is connected to seven of the people's brains who work to keep them together so she can sometimes see something they see if her brain is under trauma at the time (seizer, she can also cause trauma be putting her eyes in the back of her head so she often gets no bleeds and cries blood, and coughs up blood, and has blood coming from her ears)

About them: (Im assuming my character) Seneca is named after the people that once roamed most of Canada and some parts of the northern american borders. Seneka is a strong man. Being a Gemini he finds it difficult to be punctual. He is often flexible and jovial and some times satirical. Often found where music is or was he is clever, quick-witted and intelligent. The duality of being a Gemini gives him the ability of doing two things at a time. However, routines bore him and make him feel imprisoned. Drudgery and monotony can easily put Seneka off. Punctuality is not one of his better characteristics. Seneka is quite the narcisst and hates things that often have anything to deal with him. Most of the time he was very intuitive although he may be a gemini whom are not usually too intuitive. Most of the time they are quite oblivious to the things around them. He is often quiet and among the few people he knows, when he speaks everyone listens intently to his wisdom from the earth, sky and shadows.

Personality: Jovial, Flexibale, inquisitive, analytical.

Ability: Communes with the earth, shadows, sky, wind and even water. He learns from the whispering. Seneka can often interpret things to almost near perfection that the elements around him whisper of. Thus the knowledge he attains makes it seem like is able to see into the very close future.

Name: Fayt Freelance
Sign: Pisces
Birthday: February 29th
Age: 16
Appearance: She has long, thick, dark brown hair that reaches to a little shorter then half-way down her back. Her hair has clearly been dyed with red highlights in her bangs and a few in her hair. Her eyes are large and seem to have a natural 'puppy eye' look to them when she's looking at anyone taller then her. Her irises are brown with small flecks of purple and when she uses her powers they turn to an Amethyst color.

About her:
Pisces is a dual-sign like Gemini, and because of that Fayt sometimes has two sides, though nobody has ever seen the other side of her.
Though when it comes to her, she is either going with the current or against it, and only if she does the latter will she truly be happy.

When she sees the world, her eyes seem to be covered with rose-colored spectacles. lives in the world of her own, even when she is completely aware of the rough side of humanity. In her world, everyone is good and everything is beautiful. She has a very sharp memory and tend to remember the minutest of details.
Even in the worst of storms, Fayt will never panic and will maintain her poise. She has a good intuition and if she tells you not to go out of the house on a particular day, it is better to stay indoors. Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac and represents death and eternity. She has a blend of the qualities of all the other zodiacs. It is because of this fusion that it becomes very difficult to truly understand her.
Fayt likes to argue, loves nature and holds fierce ambitions. She is deeply interested in music and art. She has great wisdom and is very compassionate towards the ones she cares about.
The world needs the creativity, imagination and empathy of Pisceans and Fayt knows it. Very often, she buries her own dreams to see her loved ones realizing their ambitions. She is much stronger and wiser than most of the other people, she only has to realize it. The moment she struggles against the tide, you know she will reach the shore before anyone else.

Personality: Emotional and sensitive, and she tends to have mood swings because of that. She is always very caring, a little too caring, though she only cares about things related to people who are important to her. For example, if she is insulted by some random peer, she will shrug it off, but if she's insulted by a close friend, she will most likely cry.

Ruling Planet: Neptune
Ability: She serves as the link between all of the other Zodiacs, she can speak with each and every one of them mentally, and therefore was key for the escape plan, but she has only been able to use telepathy with small short words, so it wasn't too helpful. Also, since she represents death, she was told that when she was older and wiser, she'd most likely have the power to take life with a touch to the forehead.

About them: Taren is a typicaly goofy and happy teenager. He love the water and like to go walk around New Yorks coast. He prefers the night...probobly because his planet it the moon.
Personality: Moody and indecisive. Taren is a friendly and happy person. Atleast it would seem that way to everyone, like the typical cancer he hides his problems. He does have the basic cancer trait of extreme moodiness though is is prone to random mood swings. When he is actualy realy depressed he will cry and tends to curl up in his 'shell' like a typical cancer. He is easy to make friends with and will always be there for his friends. He has a caring personality and doesnt mind 'coming to the rescue' if needed.

Element: Water
Basic Trait: I feel
Ruling Planet: Moon
Ability: He has control over watter in all forms liquid, ice, and steam. Right now its simple stuff like controling small amounts of water. When his powers develop more he should be able to cause small storms and control water currents ect. Its a possibility that he may be able to make hurricanes and pull the tides when hes quite a bit older.

Seneka walked through the ruined streets of what was New York. Nobody had bothered to repair the buildings or anything around these areas. Too much money and too many man hours. So the goverment simply chose to let the buildings rot. The buildings were once a testament to how mighty humanity was. But the outer gods chose to make the foolish humans suffer.

Seneka quickly discarded any thoughts that he was thinking as he stood atop a small pile of ruins. His big brown eyes scanned around for any type of movement. Nothing came at all. A harsh hot wind blew as if he were standing among the pyramids in egypt. Seneka's tanned skin began to shift seemingly as the hot wind blew on him. His heavy hoodie blew softly. His lengthy hair also shifted in the wind. He hopped down from the small scrap pile. Some glass broke under his sneakers that he had found a few days before. His face was scruffy and unshaved. The recent years had aged the once young vivid looking man into that of an old shell. He looked liked he had 4 kids when he was merely 18.

He groaned as he passed a few people in the empty streets. They were all very sad looking. Seneka came to the outer reach of New York city. He put his hand through his long hair. "What had humanity done to deserve this?" He asked himself quietly. He knew the answer. But...As if there was another voice present...The shadows answered him. Not in words or in voice...They spoke into his mind. "You humans have desecrated that which was created for you. You ravaged that which was the most natural of many millenia of experimenting." They whispered.

Seneka was a strange breed of child. He could hear the wind, the earth, the water, the sky and the shadows speak to him. For him nothing was ever silent. Well...Not in his mind. Everyone was always talking and communing with him. Even in a dead still and silent room. His mind was always having others speak into it. He never understood the reason why he was like this nor did he bother to understand. He sighed again softly.

He picked up his baggy shorts that stopped at mid shin. They were black. Just like the rest of the clothing he wore. He very rarely wore anything that had color on it.

Seneka could see a figure approaching him in the distance. He sat silently as the figure approached him. He pondered who it could be. He quickly scanned the person and laid back slowly. He close his right eye and watched the person slowly draw nearer.

OoC: Oh God oh God, I took out an earring today and the spot I took it out form swelled up into this bump... and... and... >< -Dies-
Anyways, it's been exactly a day and I mulled things over plenty. So hiatus no more unless something depresses me again. Who missed me? 8D

A young female figure panted as she hid into an alleyway, a bag of bread in her hands and the other one holding an iPod. Strapped over her shoulders and resting on her back was a backpack filled with some things she refused to leave without. Luckily the people over where they were being watched didn't suspect her when she was smart enough to pretend she was going to the apartment of another of the zodiacs just about half an hour before they escaped. She packed things everyone might be interested in using for help.

Now all she needed to do was find another member of the 'Zodiac family' or so she considered them. Fayt was very caring and self-sacrificing, so instead of packing a whole bag full of things for herself, she packed a bag filled with stuff for the others, and just a little bit for her.

She had just stolen a bag of bread. Sure, Fayt had a little bit of cash but 80$ wasn't much, so she chose to save it until it was an emergency.
She closed her eyes as she leaned against the wall and panted, pretty sure she lost the people chasing after her.

She started to concentrate, opening her eyes that were once brown, but now purple instead. Alley. Find me. She sent out the thought using telepathy, hoping at least one of the other Zodiacs would find her. It wouldn't be good if all 12 of them were to group up, but to at least go around in threes or fours would be a lot more handy. She thought again, to try and give them a more specific place. Park Avenue. She thought again. If only she could mentally speak to her comrades in full sentences, it'd be much easier. But hey, her power was going to be damn useful... all she needed to do was learn how to allow the thoughts of the other zodiacs into her mind, it was harder and usually she only got bits and pieces.
