Seth grunted and passed out in the back of the van with the bassist. "Its finally quite. They're too drunk to stay awake." The drummer/navigator said. "Yeah...Maybe my head ache will go away." The other guitarist said. "Hopefully...Oh well...we got a long drive ahead of us." The drummer said.

Seneka continued to look out the window. Family? Friends? He didn't know what to think. He was too far from human anymore. So many beatings. So many violent actions against him. So many against humanity. He sighed as Fayt put his head on her lap. He looked at the window. His reflection had empty eyes. There was nothing there. Very little life and feelings. He mocked himself and the reflection. He loathed who he was and what he had become. He only shot himself in the stomach to make himself suffer. He deserved a slow painful death. Not a quick one. One that dragged on for hours at a time.

He sighed as the day became night.

Fayt felt like she was being stabbed very slowly, like whoever was stabbing her barely put much pressure, and just slowly pushed it in millimeter by millimeter. He didn't say anything in response and well, it hurt because she had an idea as to why he wouldn't say anything back. "Stop thinking so low of yourself, I know you're doing just that."

She had a feeling that now that she cared about Seneka, it would be long before she found herself happy again. Once someone was her family, or her friend, it pained her to know they weren't happy, and therefor she never really was happy unless they were. She sighed, closing her eyes and yawning. She moved onto her side and curled up into a ball, keeping her head on his lap.

"Don't make me have to care about you enough for the both of us now." She muttered to him. Her eyebrows knitted together as she made a slightly frustrated face. "And talk to me. I cried myself dry, it'd be nice to hear your voice enough to know you actually are still alive."

She stopped the car using the brake. She sighed, then she cried. Layla felt lost, and alone, as she had for as long as she could remember. Her powers, she found, gave her nothing.

"What...now?"

She choked on the inside. Choked on her heart. Her soul, and her dreams.
Layla laid them all out in her mind, and threw them away. Everything. She didn't want it anymore. She felt hopeless.

Why am I always so alone? The tears streamed down her face. Why is everyone else so preoccupied with their problems that they don't bother with mine? Why? I don't like this. Why can I never be happy. Why am I never loved.

Somebody, anybody...help me. Save me.

Her tears turned to blood, she started shaking. She saw, a man and a woman. They were standing next to each other. The woman her eyes looked black, but she turned her head and her eyes shone a beautiful green and brown.

Taren just kept driving now. There really wasnt much to say, but he realised they had gone a long way outside of new york and the car was getting low on gas. It was just below the quarter tank mark. We will probobly make it another 60 miles.... taren thought. The land in this particular spot was so flat and dry taren realized were they were. This is bout to be an impact were one of the meteors hit... he thought to himself as he realised that if the car did die they would have to walk miles before finding anything. "Well this sucks" he mumbled not even realising he had said it. But once he did realise he decided to go ahead and spill the bad news. "Guys were only gonna make it about another 60 miles and were in an impact zone...if the car dies were going to have to walk..." he said. Still taren never took his eyes off the road. Still way off in the distance he knew he had seen the shadow of a bus. Still the crater was so large and flat the thing could have been day or more away if he really had seen a bus at all.

Seneka ignored Fayt and just looked out the window. It was clear they were in one of the impact zone. This was probably one of the flatest places on earth now. You could see things almost a full day away it was so flat. Seneka groaned. 60 miles and we'd have to walk? They'd surely get caught or busted as they walked out in the open. Seneka sighed and looked at Taren. "If were moving at a hundred right now we only have about half an hour before our car gives out on us. Then we'll be sitting ducks. No where to run or hide out in this open area. If they are looking for us still we'll be sitting ducks out here." Seneka explained as he looked out the window. Knowing something sinister was about to happen.

He did it again. Seneka ticked Fayt off once more. She wanted to keep being nice, she really did, just for him, but he wasn't making things easy, and Fayt hated being ignored especially when she was doing everything in her power to make him talk to her and be happy.

She sat up, and first directed her attention to Taren. "We can probably hitch a ride with a trucker or something to get to the next down, I'm sure it wouldn't take long to do just that." She mumbled. Now, it was time to try and get Seneka to talk to her, she brought her hand over right to his stomach, and pushed two fingers against the spot his wound was at, just to make a point that he wasn't in a condition to get her mad again. She barely pressed against it anyways, only enough to sting for a moment. Then she lifted a hand and grabbed his chin, turning his face towards her.

"Aren't I your family, too?" She asked sternly, even though the worry of what the answer was had been clear in her voice. She already knew but she asked anyways. "The instant we were experimented on, we became family, you need to open up or something, or at least talk to me and Taren, I don't know about him but I want to listen." The further she got into her sentance, she started to hiss. Part of this was making her angry.

She leaned closer, locking eyes with him and growled. "If you think low of yourself, of course you're going to be low, just as if you think better of yourself, you... well, won't be low." She growled as she spoke. "Stop being all butt-hurt and get over it, move on, you're obviously dwelling on the past. Just move the fuck on." Fayt made sure to put a lot of emphasis on her last words before she let Seneka's chin go and scooted over to as far to the other side of the car as she could get, crossing her arms over her chest and closing her eyes. He's just being a fucking baby. She thought to herself.

Now all she could do was just sit there until the car was out of gas...

Taren had just let the little argument go. Stopping the car was just going to waste gas. "Yea I guess we can hitch a ride but were going to have to be extremly careful with who." he said flatly. For people who were supose to be working together, who were seemingly friends, the little group had alot of issues. The cars was silent for a few moments. Taren sighed. "Fayt is right in one aspect though you could atleast talk...if we knew or understood you better there might not be as many arguments...like I said before you shot yourself we should be helping eachother not hurting eachother..." For once something Taren said sounded logical and simple. Normally his speech was upbeat, quick, tended to be stupid, or atleast sound stupid, and it was emotion driven, not logical. It was strange to hear him talk like this. His voice had been flat and even and his words made sense. There was no this or that envolved. "We all could try to get to know one another better..." he added. His voice was starting to get alittle more emotion in it but you would need trained ears to tell. He was still speaking pretty flatly. It might have been due to the depressing situation. Nothing for miles and no gas to cover those miles. This realy sucks... he thought.

The vision stopped. Layla felt a glimmer of hope. Her parents might still be alive. She stopped cry, wiped away the tears, and slammed on the pedal. She didn't know where she was going, but she thought she might as well try and get to wherever that man was going to take her.

About an hour of driving passed and Layla started wondering about gas. She didn't really know what it was, but she had sen in many movies that it was used for cars. The streets remained empty, so she once again stopped.

Layla searched the car for any spot to fill it up with. She recalled it being on the driver's side of the car. She didn't find one. She continued to search the car, and found a black panel on it.

"Solar panel?"

I'm set for the day.

She back in the car and drove.
