Seneka was blinking rather slowly and his breathing was become less and less. It was clear he was dying quickly. More memories came.

Seneka was about 9 years old now and walked around. He was outside of the complex now. They were allowed to go out and play in a small secured area. Seneka was running around in his grey shorts and grey shirt. Just like the rest of the kids were wearing. He walked over to one of the other girl Zodiacs and started to talk to her. "Uhm...Hi Marlina.." Seneka said as he blushed. "Hi Seneka." She said just as red. The Scorpio boy came over. "Leave marlina alone! Shes my girlfriend!" He shouted. "No shes not! Don't be mean!" Seneka shouted as the 2 began to scuffle. Seneka was brought away by the red-headed woman he called his mother. She dragged him away. Marlina ran after him. "Don't worry sweetie...Im getting you out of here." She whispered as she took him by the hand. He looked back. "But my friends!" He said to her. "Don't worry honey. I'll get them soon too." She said. Suddenly they were stopped. "What happened?" A man asked. "He...Is uh...Going to Isolation. He and the Scorpio fought again." She answered. "The scorpio heading to isolation as well?" The man asked. She nodded. "Good, Carry on." The man said. Of course. He was brought to isolation for the day. He sat ever so quietly. The woman came back. And opened the door. She picked him up and ran with him. The other Zodiac children behind her.

He came to reality yet again. Breathing and blinking barely as sirens blared.

Fayt wasn't able to breathe as she was pretty much watching Seneka die. She couldn't do anything and she honestly wished her power was opposite of what it was, that she could give life instead of take it. Her head was spinning and she couldn't see but still she kept firm hold of Seneka as Taren tried to help.

"Seneka, stay awake Seneka..." She said to him, her tears just dripping from her cheeks and onto her shirt, some landing on Seneka, as well. There were so many of them, almost enough to drown herself in, and she wished she could do just that. "...We're family Seneka, and I love you, don't go, I promise when everything's okay I'll take you drinking or something, I'll pay." She tried to fake a smile, to make the situation sound better.

As she spoke to him, she heard sirens nearing them. "You'll be okay..."

The ambulance stopped next to them and medics rushed out, going to attend to Seneka, and the cops that followed attended to Fayt, who was actually on the verge of some sort of terrible breakdown. Her emotional mind was having a hard time coping with the situation. The Ambulance already had Seneka inside, and the cops had Fayt and Taren go with them. They said the best hospital to go to was actually not in New York, but one in New York. If they tried to take him to the big city, traffic would slow their time to get the the hospital.

She couldn't help but stare at the Ambulance that drove ahead of the police, sobbing and crying, mentally begging for everything to be alright as she cops followed the Ambulance. Without even thinking about it, she grabbed Taren's hand firmly.

When the ambulance came and had loaded seneka taren and fayt were put in a cop car to fallow. Tarens head was spinning so badly all he could was sit there with tears running down his face, but he wasnt actual crying. The tears were simply falling on their own accord. Then he felt fayt take his hand in a firm grip. When he looked at her his caring and loving side took over immediately. He scooted closer to her and wrapped his arms around her trying to comfort her. He had set aside his own troubled emotions and was just trying to calm her down. "Seneka will be fine...hes had it roughest out of all of us from the begining...compared to that this is a walk in the park...he'll be fine..." he reassured, though in the back of his mind he was truly worried.

When they reached the hospital seneka was unloaded and taken into the ER. Taren and fayt were forced to stay in the waiting room. It could be forever before they knew something and tarens nerves have already been racked to the limit. He found fayts hand again. He needed something, someone to give him any strength to not just loose it and he found it in that small amount of human contact.

Seneka was struggling to breath. Only a few raspy breaths could be heard as he rode in the ambulance. He could hardly hear the thoughts of people who passed through the shadows. Blood dripped from his mouth. One of the medics patched his gun shot wounds. "WE'RE LOSING HIM!!" One of the medics shouted. They began to pump him with oxygen and drugs. Senekas eyes closed slowly. A constant beep was heard.

Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.....

Seneka was clinically dead. No movement came from his body except the odd twitch and movement from hitting a bump. He lay there motionless. One of the medics tore off his shirt. He grabbed the defibrulator and turned it on and rubbed the 2 pads together. "CLEAR!" He hit it against Senekas chest. Nothing happened. They turned up the voltage. "CLEAR!!" They pushed them against his chest again. Nothing. They turned it up even more. "FINAL CLEARING!" One shouted. The voltage was so high you could see it on the side of the small pads. "CLEAR!" The medic shouted. With a startling gasp Seneka's eyes opened. Many laboured breaths were heard as they came into one of the hospitals. Seneka was moving his legs a little bit. Almost as if he was fighting back. The began to pump him with powerful drugs.

They pulled into the hospital and brought him into ER and quickly prepared him for a long surgery. They passed Taren and Fayt along the way. The sleeping Seneka moved by silently.

Many agonizing hours passed.

The ER light went off as a few doctors emerged from the room. "Hmmm...Taren? Fayt?" He asked and waited for them to come forward. They did. He approached them and spoke. "Your friend Seneka will be fine. When he came to...His body was already fighting off any type of infection. His body reacted very quickly. But he'll have to stay here for some time." The older man said to the 2 Zodiacs. "We'll need to keep him here for a few days before we can release him." The old man explained. "You can go in and see him at any time. But he might be sleeping for a little while longer. So you may have to wait." The man continued. "There is some important information on his chart you may want to read." The man said as he walked away. Probably preparing for another surgery.

[Exaltations]

Fayt could barely walk as they reached the hospital, she stumbled and had to support herself against a wall for a moment, a nurse had gone to help her but then realized nothing was wrong, she was just dizzy from the crying, there was obviously nothing they could do about that, really, unless they gave her some sort of sedative.
She layed her head on Taren's shoulder, her sobs more quiet now and her tears running more like water from a tap then the waterfalls that seemed to be flowing when it first happened.

She gripped his hand tightly, not able to say anything back to him, or even send it into his mind, her thoughts weren't coherent, and she was starting to feel tired, very, very tired as her eyes burned and her mind swirled. She didn't know how it happened, she'd never allow herself to sleep while Seneka was in such a condition, but she passed out against Taren's shoulder, her breathing softening and becoming even for the first time since Seneka had shot himself.

Her cheeks were glinting in the light with the wetness that soaked them from crying. If she wasn't so blacked out, she'd be happy to know she didn't have to think about how it would turn out. Maybe it was for the best she blacked out, that way she didn't have to worry until whenever she woke up.


She had woken up only a few minutes before the doctor came to tell them Seneka was okay, her face was in shocked, her eyes wide with surprise before her face seemed to give off it's own light, she had an ear-to-ear smile and even if Seneka was sleeping, she rushed to his room. Relief washed over her even more as she saw him laying there, looking so peaceful.

She went over to his side and cupped his cheek with her hand, smiling as her tears only started up again, only these weren't ones of sorrow. He was still alive, and she couldn't have felt better. Love. Family. She thought in her mind, sending it to whichever zodiac wanted to hear.
She didn't bother moving or anything, she only brought a chair close to his bed and sat on it while kept her hand on his cheek, stroking it.

She didn't know much about him, but she was sure that if she woke up in the hospital it would be nice to have someone who cared right there. Actually, she wasn't sure how he'd react, that he failed, but maybe that wouldn't cause a problem... maybe things would go smoothly.

Taren had let fayt fall asleep on his shoulder. It just ment she was feeling better and it made him feel better too. He everntualy fell asleep also but was woken up when fayt stirred. Then a doctor walked out and called for them and two approached prepared for the news.

Taren was washed over with relief when he was informed that seneka was alive and ok. Fayt had rushed off into the room but taren slowly walked inside. and sat down. "You goofy idiot...had us scared to death..." he mumbled under his breath barely loud enough to hear. The humor in his voice masking all of his other emotions. Taren was extremly happy that seneka was alive but looking back at the situation he was just glad no one had been killed.

People were watching, she knew people were watching. They watched as the man took her in his car, and as he drove off saying things like "Oh, dear, I have to get this girl to the hospital," or "Can't wait for an ambulance, she might be dead by then,"

Bullshit She thought to herself, What a bunch of bullshit.

As they passed the hospital, she wondered where the man was taking her. They had even exited the town, she watched the sign that said "COME BACK SOON" as the man sped by it.

"I'm taking you back," The man finally said. "You'll be getting some discipline when you get back, all of you."

"The man with the gun that I saw." Layla said to herself.

"What was that?" Layla didn't say a word. She thought about what she could do, and how she could escape. She wished she had powers, she wished that she had powers to escape, and that if she did, it would be so much easier. How much easier it would have been.

She remembered as they were planning to escape, they had called everyone over except her. They didn't need her. She had nothing to give them but a seizer with memories. They discarded her like a used toy. They left her to sit in a corner and sing a song. She never cried, though. It was her job of the day to not cry, she hadn't cried since she was five. She had found that biting her tongue was an efficient method to keep from crying.

As she lay in the back seat, she felt like crying. But as she had done with her comrades, she did with this man. Layla bit on her tongue hard; she would not give this man pleasure in seeing her cry. And once again, in the mist of her hope, she called out, as if someone could hear her.

Stop

The car stopped. And the man cursed. "Damn engine." Layla found something. She found something of worth. Something that would make her worthy. And she realized a lot of things. The biggest one was: she had control over electronics.

And, She thought to herself , I had had powers all along, thats how I could see.

The man walked in front of the car to pop the top to check the engine. Right before he did, in her mind she told the car.

Drive. DRIVE!

The car ran over the man. It sped by fast. Layla was smiling until she realized no one was steering.

STOP!

The feed back from the amps was so loud the crowd of 200 people in the small club could be heard. A tall figure with waist lenght hair, tanned skin and hazel brown eyes stood forward with his guitar. He spit. "COME ON!! YOUR NOT LOUD! ENOUGH!" He shouted. The crowd roared. "HERETIC!! HERETIC! HERETIC!!" They chanted. The other guitar player and bassist came over to the tall darkskinned man. "Looks like they want another one Seth." The bassist said. "What're we gonna do?" The drummer came forward. Seth grinned and pushed away from them as the feed back continued. He coughed and spoke in a low scratchy voice. "This one is called....Ultra Violent." Seth said. The crowd went nuts. The band could hardly hear the count to start the song. Seth grinned as the song began. He stepped forward to the mic. "Ultra! ULTRA VIOLENT GONNA TAKE CONTROL! Your soul! Ultra Violents gonna crush your soul! The swarm! Ultra Violent coming with the storm! YOUR WORLD! ULTRA VIOLENTS GONNA CRUSH YOUR WOOOORLD!!" Seth sang gutterally as the heavy, groove metal band played.
The band began head banging and stomping around on stage as the song chugged on.

The driving rhythym and lyrics pumped the crowd and the band as Seth sang. The song ended a few moments later and the band snuck out. Their next destination on their Annihilating The Humans tour? New York city....

Seneka opened his eyes ever so slowly. He was in great pain still. He looked at his hand. There was an iv sticking in him. He failed...He was still alive. This isn't what he wanted. He tried to sit up and winced in extreme pain. He looked down. He was in a hospital robe and only his boxers. He looked around and forced himself to stand up. He walked very slowly. Ignoring Taren and Fayt. He almost came to a crawl to the door. He reached the door on his knees and forced himself to stand. "Cant.....Stay.......Any......Longer.." He managed to say. He opened the door and put on a fake smile and look on his face. Ignoring the incredible pain. "Ah! Excuse me nurse. I was in surgery a few days ago and the doctor said I was ready to leave. May I have my clothing?" Seneka said with a fake smile. He felt like he had been tormented for a millenium standing there. "Uhm...Your name is?" the nurse asked. "Joseph Wrightman." Seneka lied. "Oh! Right!" The nurse said. "I remember helping you earlier today I think." She said. Seneka nodded. "You did. You remember how I told you I wore the same clothes for 3 weeks don't you? The black sweater and shorts with the grey t-shirt?" He asked. Sweating a bit. "Of course! I'll be back briefly! They were washed while you were here!" She ran to a small room a few doors down. Seneka began to shake as she walked away. He was still in a terrible amount of pain. But he moved fluidly as though nothign was wrong. The nurse came back. "Here you go Mr. Wrightman! Orchid fresh! Do you need any help?" She asked. "Oh! And you had your wallet and music player in there too. Its still in there. Don't worry it didn't go through the wash!" The young nurse said. "Why thank you!" He said as he walked into his room. He dropped his robe as he came in with his IV. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He tore it out and fell to his knees as some blood spurted onto the floor. He moaned for a moment before he slipped on his shorts. He put on his grey t-shirt and sweater. This took about 10 minutes. He leaned against the door. Wheezing and breathing heavily. He looked around the room. Tossing things around and finally found some medical gauss and tape. He quickly tied the gauss around his hand and taped over all of it. He felt a terrible pain in his stomach and leaned out the window and vommited. He leaned up and blinked taking a few deep breaths. He turned around. Almost in a whisper he ordered: "Lets get the f*** out of here.*".
