"Harshima Assassination," Shinji says smiling as Kokuei walked passed him. "Been awhile hasn't it," Shinji says and yet again he is interrupted by a large man, who is shouting, "OY WHERE DID YA GO, YA LIL TWERP," the man notices Kokuei and places his large beefy hands on Shinji to shove him aside.
The next thing happened in a blur, Shinji's hand went to his Sakabato's hilt, Shinji drew it out and drove the hilt straight into the man's stomach sending him flying back into the tavern, "Stop Disturbing the peace please," Shinji said politely as the man lost consciousness yet again. Today was not looking good for him, defeated twice by men smaller than him. |

Harshima Assassination?... Now that brings back memories, it was accordingly that two parties sent an assassination against a syndicate, their nomadic hideout had been found, and coincidentally, by both the Japanese Government, and a famous vigilante group called the Tigers. It was apparent that Kokuei was hired for the assassination attempt by the Tigers, and he guessed that the samurai here is by the Japanese Government. Apparently, everyone he knew from that assassination attempt was either dead, or retreated. Kokuei killed fighters of the Japanese Government, and his associates were killed by the Japanese Government. He did remember one indistinct name among their ranks, Kenshin was it? But he never really saw the guy truly. After a moment of reminiscence, he noticed the speed of the samurai, it was good of course, fast enough to be able to defeat average ninja alone.
As he was walking, he stopped for a moment, then continued, saying, "Go to Spring Hill, we'll meet there". Obviously a challenge, and Spring Hill was only just outside the town they were currently in. Not far, but it was a hill with probably the most ancient tree in the land. Large, and it's shade had been the the shelter, of couples, duels and parties, a perfect place, especially for a shadow user. |

Shinji turned and smiled grinning, "Okay," Shinji walked into the bar and bought a meat bun and some Onigiri, before walking off towards Spring Hill. Shinji started eating his food as he walked, "Kokuei, hopefully your not fighting me to get rid of a peacekeeper like me," Shinji thought to himself as he smiled. The name Kenshin brought back alot of bad memories, the memories of the Hitokiri Kenshin.
Shinji arrived after awhile at Spring hill and sat down, and ate his Onigiri happily. He was waiting for his opponent. |

He waited there, the shade of the tree was perfect, around ten metres in radius, there he sat. Kokuei sat on a large, gray rock, around two metres high, and had quite a bit of space for lying down. Kokuei waited, but not for too long, there he was, his opponent. He intends to fight, but if he were to fight for the wrong reasons, fighting wouldn't be possible from this guy.
"To rid of a peace keeper?... I've never thought of it that way, how's a friendly match? You're the famed Kenshin aren't you? I'd have some sort of nickname if it weren't for one rule to ninjas, 'lay low'". Which was true, ninjas, had a rule that they must lay low, getting a nickname would turn a Ninja, into a full time assassin. And ninjas, aren't just assassins. |

"Hitokiri isn't just a nickname, Kokuei, It is a status, given to the strongest Samurais of Japan, and Kokuei you were more famous than you knew, Kenshin, i discarded that name long ago, now I am just a wandering Samurai," Shinji said, "Friendly Match, I don't fight for fun, I only protect," Shinji added with a smile as he finished off his last Onigiri.

"Ah I see, well, what is your name now? Wandering Samurai?", asked Kokuei, and within a flash, his hands did a fluid motion, they were nothing but a blur as a small, basic shuriken was thrown, and as he did this, he stated,
"well, let's see you fight to protect your life". He really wanted a challenge, let's see what the strongest Samurai of Japan can do. |

Shinji smiled and moved his head dodging the shuriken by a hairs breath, "You can call me Shinji, as i said earlier, I fight to protect, not for my life or for fun," Shinji straightened himself and stood up.

"I see... You're not much fun, but I can tell, it's been awhile since either of us have had a good match", said Kokuei. The shuriken he threw previously was floating it's way back to him, the moment he caught it, he continued.
"Well, I'd like to see if you'd like to enter a tournament, held by outlaws, otherwise I wouldn't be joining", he said, "it's alright by me if you refuse, but I managed to slip a one of the entry letters from that block of lard, that we both beat up", he finished, flapping around a letter similar to his own. |

ooc: Wow this realy got started when I was gone...Guess ill just jump in...maybe run into someone.
![]() Taos was riding, his horse Cobalt having to serve as his eyes and ears currently. All he could do was grip his long black cloak tighter around him to keep the rain out. There was a storm and Taos couldnt pick up anything above the sound of the wind and thunder. It was also starting to give him a headache, for his ears were highly sensetive. The two had been on the move for a while. Taos hadnt eaten properly in about three weeks and his ribs were showing quite badly. He had found a stream and drank but he had begun to feel sick over the last three weeks. Probobly from his horrible condition. What also worried him was the fact that cobalt had a fairly decent sword wound across his shoulder and Taos could feel him limp with every step. The two were currently a mess. Taos was wanted by about three groups of people. The royal army for abandoning the crusades, he was being chased by bounty hunters for the price on his head was fairly high due to his new job as a mercenary, and he was also wanted by a handful of others wanting to use his power. Yes, Taos life consited of nothing but running. He had no home, and his only friend seemed to be his trusted horse. Thus as the two began to approach a town they stopped and decided to go around it. The town had been fairly large so it was obvious that they probobly had a police force of some sort which wouldnt be good for Taos. As they skirted the town they were suddenly cut off by a man with a devilish sort of smile. "Ha! I knew I recognised you...your the blind knight..right?" the man said with a laugh. This startled Taos. Why does he know me? and why does he care? Taos thought. Cobalt hearing his thoughts adjusted his feet ready to bolt on comand. "Yes thats me..why does it interest you?" Taos final answered. "Well" the man began "There is a tournement to discover the strongest warrior and I think you should compete. There arnt many of your type around afterall. Still you need a letter to get in and I just so happen to have one for you." Taos was suspicious. Why would he want to just give me the letter but it became obvious that he would have to decide quickly. Taos could hear people running and judgeing by the number it was probobly a police squad. As the man held up the letter taos grabbed it and told cobalt to run. By the time the officers had arrived they were long gone back into the woods. The blind knight...it had been a while since anyone had called Taos by that name. In the back of his head Taos knew he could have taken out the police force but he had chosen to run because killing for no reason simply didnt interest him. "Why did I grab this goofy letter anyway? I cant read it to see were to go...and you can read it." he said to his horse. Taos had the ability to speak to animals and people through a sort of mental link. "Perhaps you could find someone to read it for you?" cobalt replied mentaly. "Only if I could find someone who didnt want to catch us" Taos finished. The rain was much lighter in this area and obviously had just begun. The leaves were still dry enough to make a slight rustle as cobalt walked. In reality it had lightened up to a slight drizzle. This releived Taos but not for long. His releif was cut short when cobalt started talking again. "Theres a small hut up ahead...it looks like someone probobly lives there." cobalt started menatly. Taos was now on edge but in his current condition he decided to risk it and approached the hut. Once within speaking range taos called out "Hello? is anyone here?". He said it lound enough for someone around or inside the hut to hear. He wasnt to keen to just get off and waltz up to the door. In fact as an extra precaution Taos placed his hand on the hilt of his sword. But this movement was unseen under his cloak. ooc: Well...ya...GenjutsuGaara your characters surroundings just kind fit into the senario playing in my head so I figured I could bump into you. I like having another player to comunicate with in RP's...lol ![]() |

"Let's see," Shikimi said to herself. "If I take south then i can be there in a month. And--"
A raindrop had fallen on Shikimi. "Damn rain! You weren't supposed to come for another hour--something is wrong." Shikimi looked at the sky with a worried look on her face. "I wonder what's going on. Oh well, it doesn't concern me now. I'll worry later." She stood there, in the rain, for another thirty minutes. OK, let's go over this. Avoid all big towns, stay away from other assassin or mercenaries, and kill anyone who looks at me funny "Naw, can't do that. Almost everyone looks at me funny. But who can blame them..." Shikimi stood in a daze for a few seconds, then set off.
