(It's Name? Or just it's official title... I guess I'll just call White Trident... Sounds like toothpaste... LULZ... BTW, she will still use her blade...)

Garret was perched atop one of the walls of the fort. as he looked out into the timeless forest. Then he noticed something.

A noise of breaking wood exploded through out the forest. A bell sounded followed by the shouts of people. "Time Beasts! Get to your stations!"

"How could so many have amassed?" Garret heard the nearby guard softly speak.

Then, the battle began. For Garret, the beasts were still to far out of range for him, but the destruction that the mages did to the time beasts' numbers was amazing. Different elemental mages working in such a cooperation that struck Garret as a surprise. Their stamina faded quickly though and only a few mages would could be of any more affect during the rest of the fight.

"Garret, get ready, they're approaching, fast!"

Garret nodded and smiled as he stood atop the wall. "Well, looks like it was good of me to not leave."

The first wave of time beasts flowed like a black tidal wave into the walls of the fortress. Garret watched as several people formed a wedge and made a large opening in the enemy forces. He felt this was a good time to make his entrance.

Without a second thought, Garret lept from his post atop the fort down into a swarm of the time beasts. Quickly, he was surrounded. Maybe this wasn't the best of ideas. Oh well, looks like I'll just push my way through! Garret charged at the closest beast and sliced through it's arm. "WIND FANG!" He shouted ripping through three more beasts. He managed to kill a few more beast before hearing someone call out.

"Damn! I'm in trouble over here!" A massive fireball came from the direction of the voice. "Where is everyone?! Where's the damn support?"

Another voice screamed in pain. "Sh--! They got Morris! Where are they coming from?!" Arrows and bolts began to rain from the tower top while the magic canon was fired off several times.

This doesn't seem good. Garret thought slicing down another beast. Another fireball lit the area. I better get to that person. Strength in numbers... He pushed his way slowly though the mod of beasts cutting down any that got in his way.

Another fireball erupted. "I really need backup! I don't know how much more I can do!"

Promised I wouldn't do this, it takes so much out of me... Garret though. "Northern Gale!" He shouted. A shock wave of wind exploded from him clearing a path of beasts. "Hey, where are you?!" Garret shouted in the confusion. "If you can make another fire!"

The voice yelled back. "Someone's here?! I'm over here! Fire? I'll try, I don't know how many more I can do!" Another fireball erupted.

This time, it was so close that Garret felt the warmth. He turned in the direction of it and sliced through several more beasts. Finally, they thinned into a wide open area that was completely burnt, the time beasts had it surrounded.

"Hey you! Up here!" Garret looked up and saw a girl with firey red hair standing on a platform made of earth. "Get up here now!" The girl moved her hands around causing some of the earth around the platform to change into stairs. As soon as Garret climbed them, they vanished. "Damn, what's with these beasts?" the girl asked almost frantically. "There's no end! You're gonna have to help me here in a minute, I don't think I've got to much left in me!"

Garret smiled. "It'll be a pleasure, miss...?"

"Now is not the time for pleasantries as you can see!" Four time beasts ran towards the platform. "Son of a... Fireball!" The creatures were quickly incinerated. "They've learned, it seems!" She withdrew a red colored mace that seemed twice her size and slammed it to the ground next to her. "At first they were sending ten at a time. After failing to get me, they started sending in only a couple at a time. Too many for me to attack by myself, so I've been forced to wear myself out! They've noticed!"

"Well, I guess I'll be you shield then?" He said with sarcasm. "The name's Garret and I'd appreciate it if I knew what to call you!"

"Fine, Mr. Shield. Call me Red Queen!" She smirked, "I don't trust you enough to give you my real name, yet."

"Okay, Red, I'll help you as much as I can!"

"That's good because I only have enough in me for two more spells, well, one more if I use this strong one. Cover me, Mr. Shield!"

Garret laughed, "Whatever you say!" He got into a defensive position as the girl went into a seemingly meditative trance. he didn't know how long it would take to use the spell, but he'd defend her.

OOC: So is Shino, ook, Puppet and me the only ones playing now? Players sure are decreasing... Anyways i'll give this another day before i continue

The first three time beasts ran in all launching a simultaneous attack on Garret and the girl. With a single swing of his black scythe, he dispatched all three. When several other beasts saw the opening, five, then seven came after Garret and the girl.

"Northern Gale!" Garret shouted knocking the first group back. "You almost ready, Red?" Garret asked. "I'm no magician, so that spell took a lot outta me!"

"Almost," said the girl muttering a few words.

Two time beasts jumped in the air while three attacked from the ground. Garret blocked the aerial attack with his scythe and managed to kick two of the ground attackers. The third one got through, however, and managed to slice Garrets leg with a claw. Garret buckled but brought his scythe down into the head of his attacker.

"You okay, Garret?" The girl asked nonchalantly.

Garret sliced two more beasts down. "I'm fine, just hurry up!"

"Now!" the girl screamed. "Move!" Garret dove out of the way as the girl slammed her weapon into the ground. "Hell Fire!" She bellowed as a large crack tore opened and shot from her all the way to the fort walls. Time beast fell into the abyss that opened as fire erupted from it. Many more beast that were near it were instantly incinerated.

"Nows are chance to get to safety!" Garret yelled as he pulled the girl from the earth platform and ran towards the fort. Beasts that managed to evade the spell were cut down by Garret as he ran. "We're almost there!" Garret said to the girl. All of a sudden, the girl became heavy and fell over from the strain that the spell caused on her. "Damn. I didn't want to carry you, Red." Garret said throwing her over his shoulders.

The spell faded and soon, Garret was surround by the beasts. "Out of my way! Northern Gale!" The spell knocked a few of the beasts down at which point Garret hopped over them and stumbled into the gates of the fort. His overuse of the spell caused him to collapse at the feet of several other fighters.

"Get these two to a medic!" One of them said. "Don't worry, we can handle it from here. There's not that many and it looks like they're starting to flee."

Garret smiled as he was carried of to a medic.

Karasu, Kirin and Leanah walked onto the stone platform, discussing what they should do next. It was late noon and if they seeked to brave the forest they would be cut down for sure. Monsters twice as dangerous roam the deep depths of the forest at night. Suddenly a pillar of light shot down upon them, and around the platform they saw ancient runes carved into the circular platform. The circle of runs began to spin, faster and faster, eventually it shot up a blinding light, and when the light cleared, the adventurers were nowhere to be seen.

Back in the basement, the runes on the stone platform began to spin, the startled people who were hiding until the battle was over were surprised and were fearing the worst. But appearing after the blinding light that followed, were none other than our three adventurers, Karasu, Leanah and Kirin.

Time past and they weren’t getting closer to a decision as light suddenly engulfed them, Kirin tensed as he shot a glance towards Leanah hoping it was her magic. But as the runes danced in a hypnotic circle and the light intensified, all he could hear was the rhythm of his heart and his steady breathing. “I hope this isn’t a trap…” But as the climax drew closer his hands gripped onto his spear as his words were lost into nothingness. Then in a blinding light the forest and the ancient buildings around them melted into nothing…

Suddenly as his senses returned his mask was instantly lifted as he fell into a defensive crouch earning a few frightened screams. In truth he used this time to let his eyes adjust to the dim stuffy basement before he scanned their new and limited surroundings. “It seems we’re underground…” He said simply despite the climax of the moment, as he searched swiftly for an escape from the man made pit. In this time whispers of a battle caught his attention as he turned to glance at Karasu and Leanah. “And it also looks like we’ve found ourselves among the cowards of your man made world…” He finished darkly with a disgusted sniff as he stalked through them and headed towards the exit ladder stairs where he waited for the others.
