Ch 445 is up
Basically an extension of last chapter. We get to know Pein a bit more "personally".

Following "opinions" based only on the information given uptil now.

Altho i have to admit, any respect I had for Pein's reasoning behind doing all this is .... disappearing....
The reasons are not enough to justify his actions.

best chapter of the flashback arc so far it showed when Jiraiya, Orochimaru, and Tsunade for fighting Hanzo and that is the fight they were declared the Legendry Sannin, and it also showed where the dream of Yahiko became Nagato's goal. I think Nagato, Yahiko, and Konan killed Hanzo as a first step towards their dream or maybe Hanzo killed Yahiko and Nagato took revenge on him.

Good chapter, but it feels like it could have gone on for a few more pages at least. We didn't really find out anything here, that wasn't assumed to happen.

Sage, I doubt that Yahiko was killed by Hanzo. Hanzo was killed fairly recently (that's my guess, seeing as Jiraiya hadn't heard anything about his death until his fight with Pain) and I'm guessing that Yahiko died several years beforehand.

Hmm what do u guys think about Hanzo's character. Nice person or "bad", "evil"?

Yeah maybe you are right now that I think about Jiraiya was still trying to figure out what was going on during his fight with Pain and then he mentioned that he killed Hanzo so Nagato probably killed him as a first step toward achieving his and Yahiko's dream of a world without war.

I think Hanzo was actually good because all he was doing was trying to protect his village from Konoha and then since he thought that they were so strong that he wouldn't kill them, and he then gave them the name of the Legendary Sannin. Yahiko was watching from the ledge and saw most likely saw Hanzo's decision to let them live as a sign of weakness, and since Nagato wanted revenge for his parents he killed Hanzo so that he could ktake revenge on Konoha and fulfill their dream.

eh, not as good as previous few chapters...

Poor Chibi!

I think Jiraiya convinced Orochimaru to not kill Hanzo because he noticed the kids, and Tsunade went along with him. From the spoilers I was guessing that his dog's death was the 2nd upset, but it must be Yahiko's death. Pain didn't say "that was the 2nd cause of my pain." The next flashback showing Yahiko's death must be in the future, because Pain's God body is Yahiko, and he looks around the age of 16-18. Much older than when they trained with Kiraiya.

Yes, it was a short chapter, but it was enough to have me thinking for the next week. I still think there is still some good inside of Pain...

We'll probably see Yahiko's death and the creation of pain...
Since next issue says "The birth of Pain. The Greatest Pain"

As for this chapter, could have been better...
We see yahiko's dreams, which we already knew, from Jiraiya's flash back.
The part with Hanzo, we already know that too...

But since they have seen Jiraiya fight Hanzo, did they join
him later so they can get stronger and kill him..?

mm it's definitely possible but it seems a little sinister, whether or not they started out with that intention i can't be sure, but it's clear from the scene when jiraiya left they didn't have that intention anymore

also, has anyone noticed tiny (the dog) bears a strong resemblance to pain's dog summon?

It was a good chapter but it did not tell us any thing that we did not know.
