Default Jiraiya vs akatsuki
So, we've seen that Jiraiya was pretty much no match for Pain/Nagato, but how does he stand up against the rest of akatsuki? We've learned quite a lot about the members of the organisation, so how would Jiraiya do in a one-on-one against the Akatsukees? I'll just put up all the match ups with all combatants being at a 100%. If you comment on a match based on something in the manga, REMEMBER TO SPOILER-TAG IT!

Note: Jiraiya has some intel on Hidan, Kakuzu, Orochimaru, Kisame, Itachi and Sasori, and he knows nothing about Tobi, Zetsu and Konan before the battle starts. Likewise, Hidan, Kakuzu, Kisame, Sasori, Zetsu and Tobi knows very little of Jiraiya's abilities.

Here's what i think.


Jiraiya vs Deidara (out in the open with room for Deidara's aerial attacks)

Not so sure about this one, could go either way.

Jiraiya vs Konan

Would probably be close, but I'd say Oro takes it.

Jiraiya vs Sasori (Sasori has all of his puppets)
I think Jiraiya's defence would be great against Sasori and he has his Kebari Senbon jutsu which could probably pierce Sasori's chest rather easily if he manages to get him out of that outer puppet. So, yeah, it might be close, but i go with Jiraiya

nm. jiraja could survive diedera's small bombs by going in toad stomach
and seriusly when you say tobi would win, he showed no offensive abilitys so far so please explain how he would win.

I didn't put much thought into this yet but here is my list

Jiraiya vs Deidara 80/20 C4 could give deidara the edge he needs but the frogs probably could detect it.

Jiraiya vs Hidan 95/5

Jiraiya vs Kisame ??? Not commenting until I see kisame at full power.

Jiraiya vs Kakuzu 60/40 Sage mode would be quite challenging for kakazu

Jiraiya vs Konan 90/10

Jiraiya vs Orochimaru 75/25

Jiraiya vs Sasori 20/80

Jiraiya vs Madara/Tobi 1/99

Jiraiya vs Itachi 1/99

This assumes they are are at full health
