it would be an awesome fight with completely different styles, but i would go for Kakashi because he has his sharingan, which is awesomely overpowerd...

Same. Despite Gai's ability to keep his eyes fixed away from his opponent, there's no avoiding Kakashi's MS.

mmm its hard to say they are the 2 strongest jounins, id say its about tied but seeing kakashis more of a main character he probably overall possess a bit more power, and based on how he has ms i think he would win. Unless of course gai opens all 8 gates then kaka opens all 8 gates they would both die i guess.

if they both were not to use gates or they used the same number of gates excluding 8 then kaka would win by a hair

its not cos he is the main character, he has sharingan which is the main weapon in the whole anime series..also there are other strong jounins like asuma who rival gai and kakashi, but in the end kakashi is the man

when i say main character i mean because he is a main character and is emphasized as the strongest jounin he obviously possesses a bit more power. I agree with you, in a equal fight, kaka would win but not by that much.

I like them both, but kakashi is definitely a better character, and definitely a bit stronger.

I say Gai will win the fight!

They have had a fight already and if I remembered correctly it was Gai who won the fight. So, for round two I still think Gai would win lol....well it'll all be tied until Kakashi gets tired then Gai would come in with the "dynamic" entry and wins it!

My say would be Kakashi hand down. Kakashi has the MS and is as fast as Gai. The only thing Gai has over Kakashi would be strength and obviously 'youthful energy'.
