I think he means "Could the fight have gone differently." Personally, this was my favorite fight series, Neji vs. Spider Dude and Naruto, Lee, and Gaara vs. Kimimaro ftw!

If the big dude was serious in the beginning instead of calling Choji names I think Choji would have died and if Kimmimaru went straight to cursed seal he would have killed Lee. If Kimmimaru lasted a few more minutes without dying from the illness Gaara and Lee would be dead. Another one would be if Temari was just a little bit later Shikamaru would be a goner. I don't think these would be real possibilities though because it would have screwed up the Sasuke/Naruto fight.

If Kimimaro was healthy then he would have killed all of the sand and konoha shinobi on that mission. He was way above all of them.
