Who will win? I tend to think it'll be Kisame's day, but a hard pick. What do you guys think?

I like to think Gai would win, but Kisame only used a fraction of his Chakra in that fight. They did say Kisame has the largest chakra reserve in Akatsuki. That said, if Gai were to be backed into a wall, he'd be able to open all the gates needed to win the fight, even if it means killing himself to do it.

Just regular swings overpowered Asuma in earlier episode does tell me that he's an extremely dangerous opponent. Hardly anyone overpowers their opponent on an equal grounded fight unless a special jitsu is being used. Kisame is the only one that I can think of that can do that.

Hypothetically of course although they already fought each other twice technically. Who do you think will be the winner if the two fights today?

Sadly, I kinda agree with you on this one lol....but I was curious if anyone will stand by Gai?

why are they fighting because if it's something like he needs to save lee he will open the gate of death to do so

Not really sure if he'll actually need to do that, Lee will open his own gates himself

Anyhow, this is a bit off topic but isn't most Jounins know how to open their own gates? I remembered the conversation that Kakashi had with Gai and Kakashi did mention that it's something forbidden technically however most of the shinobis in the sensei level knew about it

Yea Kakashi did mention that the gate opening technique is a forbidden one, however I believe if anyone would or could use it to its fullest extent in a fight, it would be Gai. That said, i still stand behind the good guy in this fight.
