i think he did stand a chance....

he had his left arm torn off, stabbed near right shoulder most likely destroying 1 or 2 bones, stabbed by 6 swords rods through his back, most likely damaging his organs and rib cage, and a crushed throat that makes it like impossible to breathe....and he still managed to to think up of a code message? dang, that's one tough bastard!

I loved this episode but felt it should've been more saddening then what it was. Jiraiya is my favorite character of all time so I was expecting to get tear eyed but I didn't, I came close but sadly no. I just felt the animators could've done a better job on this one but hey they didn't destroy it so I guess its ok.

Ok first im just gona say it was a great ep...

Now about the whole not emotional enough thing... I really think it wasn't meant to be like Asuma's death... this was meant to be like he was passing away happily seeing as he had gathered crucial information about pain and he had attained peace with ihs life and his one true success, naruto...

Whereas Asuma was cut down cruelly while he was still relatively young and had his life ahead of him....

ok im fukn pissed. they coulda at least let him get some more moves in or something. wtf. seriously and it wasnt that sad either. i wanted to see him take down a few more while getting his ass kicked to make it a bit more dramatic. but w.e. i will miss him. hes one my favorite character. prolly 1-3 between him naruto and minato.

Yeah I read the manga 2... but all I'm saying is the circumstances of their deaths is different... Jiraiya dies when he feels fulfilled and at peace with his life while Asuma dies while angry at the death of his fellow gaurdian thing still training his students...

it was good, not awsome as I expected...I got teary eyed but didnt cried like my life was choked out of myself like I did when I read it in the manga

Yeah, Naruto's and Tsunade's part is really sad


Just one thing...they better make a better episode for Itachi's death because Im going to cry out of frustration if they dont D=


Now onto Asuma's death, seriously yes Asuma was young, yes he left Kurenai pregnant, yes I cried my eyes out with his death too BUT for me Jiraiya's death had a deeper impact on me

anyways RIP Jiraiya-sama
