I agree too... I think those puppets looked like a bad replica of Kakuzu's elemental masks. Pretty unnecessary in my opinion, when the fight is epic as it is. Sasuke's fighting style also seemed a bit wrong when he fought them.

Can't wait for the next episode, though. I'm sure it'll be one of the best ever (at least in a very long time)

^ if you think about it, the last "big" event was naruto turning 4 tails for the 1st time... well 2nd time actually, 1st time was with j-man lol

so it wasnt that long ago

I liked the episode in its entirety. Hopefully though there will be less posts on here about upcoming fights. Some of us didn't read the manga and would like to just discuss the fights going on now and talk about future fights when they actually happen.

I agree with 37 that this fight wasn't nearly as epic as the kyuubi-orochi fight (especially when it should have been) and with smutzy on how un-epic the shrine scene with Itachi was. This episode was definitely a let down from the manga. It could have been faster paced, and they could have put in a lot more detail into making the main scenes more riveting to watch.

That said, when comparing this episode with what the average Shippudden episode gives us, I was actually fairly entertained this time. It's just a damn shame that the anime has reached a point where the fans can't expect nearly as much as they should.

Imo, the battle was short. One epsiode? That's all kishi gives us?

But I can't wait for C4 to detonate.

ps: tobi acts more foolishly in the anime than i expected from manga.

This episode was amazing. ^_^
The battle wasn't too short, either,
and looks like it can only get better!
Deidara's one of my favorite characters, too,
so I'm glad he gets to star in this one.
I want Deidara to win, but I'm sure, in typical anime style, he'll end up losing...
oh, well; it was still a great episode, and I can't wait until next week's! ^_^

I am excited to see how the animate this, I am still not to ecstatic on how they are drawing the characters now but still it was an awesome fight.

Edit: In the temple scene I was like Gantz flashback harada knows what I am talking about. =)
