THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE AND STICK WITH THE TOPIC ANY OFFTOPICS WILL GET YOU SUSPENDED/BANNED
yeah sakura didn't this episode answer a lot of unanswered questions from manga, like I didn't know that right after itachi left Konoha he went straight to akatsuki, and that the group has been around for a really long time since they already had members their when he should up. Also we also got to see how Tsunade brother died, I always assumed that someone killed him but his dumb ass jumped without looking and fell on a paper bomb.
Best episode in ages, all of a sudden my faith in the manga is restored, i mean its so refreshing to have positive thoughts after watching the anime.
It has amazing flashbacks, good level of action and nice suprise at the end (i cant wait to see and hear what Suigetsu is like in comparison to the manga).
I liked the Oro's flashbacks, we all know he's an evil b*****d but it's nice to see there was some compassion there once or at least he was considerate enough to pretend to be compassionate.
Plus it was awesome to see almost all of Akatsuki, Itachi is so strong i loved the genjutsu scene.
Yeah the fight/ritual scene could have been longer but who cares when you get all of the things listed above and loads of other things i haven't mentioned in one episode!
Just one thing - is it me or did they ruin Dan's and Nawaki's deaths? They were all heart-touching and sad in the manga and then it just all happened too fast in the episode if you get what i mean?
They already did Dan's and Nawaki's deaths in a anime flash back from Tsunade's perspective (When they went over the decision of the Leaf to include a medical ninja in 3 man squads).
It was touching when they showed it then so i dont think it ruined their deaths but i kind of understand your point about how they showed a quick scene of Nawaki dying from a paper bomb, it deserves more than a bried flashback. Nonetheless i think it was really effective in showing that Oro did have a little bit of good left in him then.
