but naruto didn't hit the target. he combined it with yamato's technique to extinguish the fire.

Yes but the rasengan moved out of his palm fast so I am saying that he fired it like a gun.

Has this happened in the manga, I never knew it could move out of his hand.

Look before you post, I am not talking about that Rasen-Shuriken that was shown at the end.
It looked like a rasengan it is just that he moved it out of his palm that is all.
At the end they called it "Gufuu Suikno no Jutsu"

I guess it is just something else he got while developing that new technique.

AHHH, I am just going to stop blabing about it. It looked cool and never seen it before. That is all

it combined fuuton rasengan with one of yamotos techniques, fuuton Rasen shuriken can be thought of as a more advanced version of fuuton rasengan
