It would have to end with a final battle with Sasuke vs Naruto otherwise it wouldn't make sense after all that build up over all those episodes. It would be a fitting end to Naruto.

i think when it gets to the sasuke naruto fight, it would be more like a fight between friends like their first fight when sasuke was going to orochimaru. i mean, back then, although they were fighting, you could still see that they both were just really fighting as friends. i think thats all their fights are about. its like, thats all they want to do whenever they meet eachother. fight. i think thats how they stay friends.

Default Sasuke kills Kakashi
As others have mentioned the ending must be Naruto vs Sasuke and after that Naruto: Hokage. I also think there will be a massive build up to the final Naruto vs Sasuke and many things will happen to spark things up prior to it. My prediction is Sasuke would kill Kakashi and then this will make Naruto go crazy and kill Sasuke in a very emotional epic climax. Or it could be someone else close to naruto. At the moment even with the

Naruto sucks compared to Sasuke. Lastly I think Sasuke and
  Spoiler:  
team eagle
will wreck havoc in konoha whilst Naruto is undergoing some super training somewhere else to control the nine tails, a bit like Goku in DBZ.

Deaths or not: Kakashi, Tsunade, not Gai as I can really picture Gai sensai crying over Kakashi and how they were rivals, or maybe Gai will die and Rock Lee cries, none of the 12 genin will die.

Lastly, as I don't think anyone predicted

Itachi to be a good guy
likewise i dont think anyone can predict the ending (naruto vs sasuke is an obvious prediction) to shippuden either. We can only guess.

Sasuke is the loser here... not kakashi.
That little nobody good for nothing loser...

ANYWAY! my new prediction:
Sasuke vs Naruto results in Narutos victory over sasuke, and sasukes death. Sakura Kakakshi Yamaoto, and Sai face off agiasnt team eagle, and clearly win. Tsunade fights Pein but dies and Kakashi is declared the sixth hokage (wishful thinking lol), or at least is part of the new Sannin, with the other two being... Shikamaru, and Gai.
Pein dies fighting Kakashi...
Orochibuto dies fighting Kakashi...
all bad guys dies fighting Kakashi...
Kakashi kills everybody and takes over the Naruto Series...
Naruto series name is changed to Kakashi...

Well frankly i hope naruto dosn't end because its the only anime i like besides FMA but if it must then obvioulsly Naruto becomes hokoge. and everyone else will become Junine. tsunade will probably die and I think the next Jiraya will be Konohamaru!
