I know, we're all saddened by his death but honestly what jutsu or technique does he really have?

From what I know right off the bat...
- His blade that he swings around
- His jutsu mixing dust with fire
- His Chiriku technique copy jutsu

So, what do you think. He's the hero of Konoha that died honorably or a newb that just gotta go? One thing we know for sure is that he isn't too strong....sadly.

I thought he was pretty amazing. He probably was very strong, just not as strong as Hidan and Kakuzu. He was also a very good teacher and friend; if anything, he was stronger in mind than body, and that is just as important.

i liked him a little. but before naruto shippuuden no one payed attention to asuma. no everyone is sad.

I guess he would have to be moderatly strong to be in the 12 Ninja Guardians, would he not?

Also I think he was a needed character regarding a teacher for Shikamaru, I just think Asuma understood him a little more than anyone else would have.

Though I wasn't that saddened by his death (since I wasn't really that attached to him) I atleast have to give him that.

Well he was a verry nice guy I caindow like when he treat his team to barbaque. He loved them like his own child's. He is a patriot whitch try to protect Konoha.
