Basically I am a huge fan of the gundam SEED (destiny) series and somehow until now I didn't quite get into this series. Can any of you tell me why I should stick with it?

What does the show do to you?
The plot really thickens later in the first season. I know there's a lot of political mumbo jumbo in the beginning, but the action was enough to keep me watching until the story started to pick up. Once it did, twist after twist is thrown at you constantly leaving you speechless. The characters are also a highlight of this series. All have unique personalities and you get to see the struggle each go through throughout the conflict. I also like how Celestial Being is basically going against the world in a reversal to past Gundam series's where the Gundams are used by the government army. Because of this you can kind of sympathize with both sides, making for a somewhat unique anime viewing experience.
It's a great series, just give it a fair chance and it will leave you satisfied after watching it.

Plus this is the only gundam that is more realistic than the other gundam series. The economy, politics, oil issues, somin along those line are all pretty much an issue today.
