I've got a friend who's really into anime and manga. Beeing the moron I am, I always made fun of him for beeing childish and still watching cartoons as we were about to start Uni together. He's an extremely persistent guy, and eventually we struck a deal - we'd use his house and his 52" plasma TV for the upcomming match between Rosenborg - Brann later that night, and I'd watch 5 episodes of a 'cartoon' called Naruto without complaining. He hooked his computer up to the TV, and... well, I have to admit I felt like I was a bit too old for 'cartoons' when I settled down in a beanbag.

After the first episode I had to eat a slice of humble pie and admit that it wasn't anything like what I had imagined. I had been certain it was going to be something like Pokemon
I'm not going to give you a slow moment-to-moment account of that evening, but it ended up with 0 football and 32 episodes of Naruto with a 5 minute toiletbreak. That's nearly 12 hours of anime!

Needless to say I was hooked, and still am to be honest! Can't get enough of it

haha, that's a pretty good story, bet you'll listen to your friend a bit more now. besides, Naruto is much more interesting than football
