then why do you say that desu translates to "is" when desu is usually the end of a statement. if you put it that way, then desu ka, which usually indicates a question, doesnt make sense. who did you learn japanese from? where are your parents in this kind situation? and besides, this shows how close minded kids can really be. i should have went with my initial instinct that it was hopeless to even try because this is how "kids" take things. i was trying to be nice, and in return, i get retaliated against. psh. you kids really are close minded as they say. never open to suggestions. i swear. but i guess it doesnt matter, even though i still support what you are doing, because all you're going to do is just bash on me because you think i dont know what im doing. i would have at least had enough respect to message you if i felt upset, but instead you decide to say that on the thread. real nice, "sensei". im not going to be the bad guy because i already said that i support you and this thread. just wanted to make sure no one was learning it the wrong way. but ill let you go ahead with your lessons because obviously, no one is even going to consider what i have to say from this point. not even you.

He is only 2 or 3 years smaller than you...
And I think he knows a lot more than you cuz...
yes he is Japanese .....

Btw there always might be some mistakes
(after all we are only human and far from perfect)
but i think he should know more japanese than you...
