Kimato, Haruko-sensei, Yamada, and the four hidden rain shinobi stood at the door of the mizukage's office. ''Mizukage-Sama is ready to see you now'' The ANBU-shinobi said and opened the door for them. As they progressed through the room, Kimato could see potraits of the previous mizukages above the mizukage's desk, A big load of books at the left of the room, and the only window was one at the edge of the room on the right side. ''sorry to disturb you, mizukage-sama'' Haruko began, ''I recognised these shinobi of the hidden rain village observing our village, they said they needed to speak to you so i joined them with my genins to make sure they do just that''. The Mizukage was looking at the portraits the turned around to face Haruko and the rest. ''Thank you'' he said softly, ''Nice to see Kimato and Yamada with you'' he said while he turned back at the portraits.

''Whats your business, you asked for the mizukage'' Haruko said to the Hidden Rain Shinobi. The squad members looked at their leader as he started to talk: ''We have been ordered to pass on this scroll to the Leader of the Hidden Mist Village, its from our Kage'' He walked towards the mizukage and placed the scroll on the tabe. ''It regards a few of your Genin, if you know what i mean'' he said while glancing at kimato and yamada. ''Haruko'' the mizukage said as he turned around, ''Leave with your squad, ill handle things here''. Haruko,Kimato and Yamda left the room and left each other for the next day.

Raika and Gondara showed up early the next morning to meet Sakai-Sensei as usual he was a bit late. And looked a little more tired then normal. He looked at his 2 genin. He looked pale. He smiled a weak smile. "Well, Lets go see the Hokage and see if we can get you some better missions." He said almost inaudibly. The 2 genin looked at him. "Sakai-Sensei are you alright? You look kind of pale. And we can hardly understand you." Raika said as he looked up. Sakai-Sensei nodded. "Im fine. Theres no need to worry." He said re-assuringly. "Now, lets get moving." The 3 walked through the streets of Konoha. It seemed eerily quiet. Very few people were out and about this day. The sun was shining and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Sakai-sensei began to ponder some possibilites.

Moments later...

The trio arrived at the Hokages mansion. They walked through the halls and into the office. "Hokage-Sama. I have a request." Sakai-Sensei said as loud as he could. "Ah, Yes. What is it?" A young females voice came. She turned. She had long red hair, bright blue eyes and wore a long kimono. She was a very young woman. At least 25, maybe 30 at the oldest. Raika stared at her. He thought she was beautiful. Gondara was facing the other way. Looking at the portraits of the 8 previous Hokages. The 6th Hokage caught his attention. Tall, Spikey blonde hair and blue eyes. "Uzumaki Naruto huh?" He thought to himself. He turned to the others conversation. "We're requesting a more difficult mission." Sakai-sensei asked sternly. "Denied." The young woman said. She walked over to Raika slowly and rubbed his head. He blushed lightly at her. "Im not sure if you know of 2 things right now." She said as she walked by. Looking out the window. "1,Were expecting an attack from the Hidden Mist and Rain village." She said turning around. The smile never left her face. She continued. "And second, they've only been genin for 3 days now." She said sitting down and staring at Gondara for a brief moment. "Yes, but look at all the missions they've completed, over 30 missions in 3 days. Most genin do 2 or 3 missions a day. They've both done 10 a day. Thats a combined number of 60. Surely you can understand this?" Sakai-Sensei said trying to persuade the Hokage to let them go. "Well...I might say yes. But we need all Jounin, Chunin and Genin here to defend the village at all times. Hundreds of our Jounins are returning as we speak." She said as she poured some tea. "I understand. When do you expect the attack?" Sakai-Sensei asked. "With in 2 days." She answered him sternly. "I would like a minute with the young Kuragan bearer." She said to Raika with a smile. He looked up at her. Sakai-Sensei nodded at Gondara. The 2 left the room.

The Hokage turned and looked at the young genin. Staring deeply into his eyes. Raika felt as though he was having his mind, body and soul examined all at once. She knelt down in front of him. "Hows your mom?" She asked politely. "Uhm...Shes...You know...Ok..." Raika stuttered over his words. He had only seen the hokage once before at his graduation ceremony. "Hows your moms senses?" She asked again quite politely. "Uhm...Im not sure what you mean." He said very quietly. Becoming very uncomftorable. She smiled at him. "Come here." She said. She motioned for him to sit in the chair. "You know what the Kurgan does right?" she asked as she looked out the window. Several birds perched on the window sill and hopped onto her shoulder. She fed them with some grains from her pocket. "Yes...My mom said it dulls the senses when you use it too much." He answered. The small birds fluttered away. "Does your mom ever have trouble doing some things? Like cleaning the living room or washing the dishes? Or trying to find where you are when she wants to hug you?" She asked again very politely. Raika thought about it for a minute. He looked up at her. A bit worried. "Yes! Is something wrong with my mom?" He jumped up and stood in front of her. "There might be Raika." She said with a bit of sadness in her voice. "Whats wrong with my mom?" He asked anxiously. "They think she used her eyes too many times. Several doctors think it may have taken an effect on her heart. Do you remember your mom ever having trouble breathing or saying that her chest hurts?" She said kneeling in front of him. "YES! YES!! PLEASE! TELL ME WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN TO HER!!!" He started shouting. He was had tears in his eyes. The hokage sighed. "The...The doctors think she might pass away soon." She said. Her voice was very sad and quiet. Raika looked at her. Tears streamed down his face. But no sounds of crying came. Right in front of the Hokage, His eyes changed. He almost instantly gained 2 more seals in his eyes. She inched back. Knowing he could do almost anything. But nothing happened. Raika looked at the ground. His long hair fell in front of his face. A slight sobbing could be heard. Sakai-Sensei came in the door. The hokage hugged the young genin. Sakai walked over to him. He bent down and hugged him to. "It'll be ok Raika. I know it hurts. But you'll be safe, I promise." The hokage whispered into his ear. Raika sniffled and teared. Sakai-Sensei reached into the desk next to them. Raika hugged the Hokage tightly. Not wanting to let go. He didn't want to lose his mom. He would only be living with one of his grandparents. He wasn't ready for her to go yet. Sakai-Sensei handed him a scroll. Raika looked at it and then the Hokage. She nodded, telling him to open it. He took a deep breath and read it outloud. "Dear Raika, If you are reading this message. You must know that I must be dying. Im sorry I haven't told you but I knew you would be scared and you might do something. When Im gone, I have asked the Hokage to look after you, Acting as your mother and guardian." Raika read. He looked at the Hokage. She smiled softly. He looked at Sakai-Sensei. "In addition, Sakai-Sensei will be acting as your father. Additionally when, or should I pass over you will be given the house, all of our money, and any possessions me and your father had. Raika, don't ever forget I loved you with all my heart. Signed, Your mom." He read out loud.

He began to tear again and kicked the desk over. He ran from the room. "RAIKA! COME BACK!!" Sakai-Sensei started to get up. The hokage stopped him. "No...Let him go...He must need to process all of this now." The hokage said standing up. Gondara walked in. "What did you guys do?" He asked casually. Raika ran through the streets of Konoha. Pushing people aside, shoving them out of the way until he came to the cenotaph. He collapsed in front of it and hit the ground as hard as he could. "Dad, Why aren't you alive?! WHYAREN'T YOU HERE FOR ME!?!?! WHY?!?!" He shouted in anger. After 2 hours of crying and shouting at the cenotaph he sat against it. Not saying a word or looking away from the ground. He huddled there quietly. It began to rain hard. He sat there. His tears began to mix with the rain. He could hear footsteps but he didn't move. "Raika! Raika! Where are you?" Some familiar voices called out. "Raika! Honey there you are!" It was his mom. He turned to her and hugged her tightly. The hokage and Sakai-sensei were there too. They all hugged the distraught child. Finally, They left the cenotaph and walked Raika home. It was only noon, But it had already been a long day for him. He sat in the living room reading quietly from a light. He could hear the Hokage, Sakai-Sensei, and his mom talking. He couldn't make any of it out. The hokage came into see him again. He looked up at her. "Raika, Im sorry about everything." She said apologetically. He nodded. "Why don't you take a few personal days and let everything process through ok?" She said with a smile. Sakai-sensei stood against the small door frame and smiled too. His mom came in and hugged her only child. Raika didn't know how to feel, what to think or do. All he knew...Was his mom was dying and nothing would ever be the same.

OoC: Nice post, a danger of war will be a good line to follow.

As kimato was walking towards the usual bridge where the team meets up, he saw many squads returning to the village. Many shinobi were returning back from missions, all of a sudden for some reason. He quickly ate his ramen and jumped of a few buildings, making haste to reach the bridge. As he arrived he saw Haruko-Sensei and Yamada, early as usual, waiting for his arrival. As he got nearer the the group, he saw Haruko-Sensei's pale face, as if he was worried about something. He knew him well enough to notice this.
''Whats up with that pale face, you look worried'' Kimato said to Haruko-Sensei.
''Ow..its nothing..dont worry about it'' he said not all that convincing. Haruko then turned towards the river, observing the far away mountains and forest. This day was more misty than normal, even for the Hidden Mist village, there was definetly something going on.
''Lets go...the Mizukage wants to speak to us'' Haruko-sensei said with a worrying tone.

Moments later...

The 7th Mizukage was as calm as ever, even in the worst situations. Everytime Kimato walked in his office, he found him turning to the portraits of the previous mizukages, the most notorious being Madara Uchiha for all his evil deeds. Then the mizukage turned.
''Todays mission will be something new. You will be given an A-rank mission with your Squad leader as Haruko-san.'' Kimato and yamada looked at the mizukage, and then turned towards Haruko-sensei, full of suprise. It was only their first week as genins, even for their skill, an A-Rank mission was far to hard.
''So..what do we do'' Yamada said with no concern for its difficulty. Like always.
''We have to go to Konoha'' Haruko said to his genins.
''WHAT?!'' Kimato said. ''Thats 4 days from here, and we are not the best friends..''
''We have received intelligence that they are preparing for war. We heard that they say that we are going to attack the Fire country. We need to be on our guard, and your mission is to confirm this suspision'' Mizukage said, calm as ever.
''The Hidden Mist is not afraid of war, but we do want to avoid it. We want to make sure that the Leaf wants to attack us, or if its all a misunderstanding'' Haruko-Sensei Said.

Ooc: Now what? we need chuunin exams, i think we should make this war alert to be a misunderstanding until after the chuunin exams. Which should be held in Sand Village in my opinion, what you think?

Kimato sprinted home to pack his stuff. He packed food bars, fresh water, repack his kunais and shuriken and some smoke bombs. He jumped out of his home window and ran to the meeting point at the bridge. As he approached the bridge he found Yamada there, but to his suprise, Haruko-Sensei wasnt. 'It's probably mission preparation' kimato thought. Yamada had only packed his weapons, as normal he is packing as light as possible. They waited for almost an hour untill they saw Haruko-sensei approaching in the horizon. He looked tired and pale as he did all morning.
''You look to tired for a mission, Haruko-sensei'' Yamada said oberving Haruko's face.
''Its nothing. Jounins have been busy lately with bored patrol missions with ANBU'' he said. ''We have to get moving'' he said and sprinted away. jumping on the nearby trees, making haste to reach the Hidden Leaf Village. It would take 4 days of normal travel to reach Konoha. But they were in a clear hurry, so they could make it in 3 days, maybe 2 without much rest.
''Lets take a break here, there might be a fight coming soon and we need to be fit'' Haruko-sensei said as he stopped at a suitable camping spot.

OoC: Are you going to be attacked by Konoha shinobi or just another village?

Raika had sat in his room for almost a full day. He didn't come out for anything. Only to brush his hair. He sat in his room looking at a photo of his mom and him from when he was younger. Then he looked at the only picture of his father he ever knew. His father dressed as an ANBU. He had his mask off and was smiling brightly. He looked and began to tear. "Dad...Why? Why did you have to die?" Raika asked himself quietly. A knock at the door came. He quickly wiped the tears and took a deep breath. "Come in." He said as best he could. "Honey...Its just me." It was his mother. She opened the door slowly and stepped in. She looked down at him with her 5 seal eyes. She was blind. And he knew it. She hugged him tightly. "Raika...Im sorry I didn't tell you earlier. I just didn't know what to say or how to say it. So I had the Hokage show you the note." She said to him in a whisper. Raika hugged her back tightly. He was so very sad and distraught. The hug seemed to last for an eternity.

OoC: We are going to attack the Hidden Rain, thats why they came, they were worried. but my squad is going to Konoha to tell them that we dont want war with the Hidden Leaf.
