Well, this is a bad situation. Garret thought to himself as he ran through some trees being pursued by several of the relentless time beasts. Why do I have to help every weird person I see?

Prior to him being chased, Garret stumbled across an old man who seemed kind of weird to say the least. His entire body was deformed and he kept mumbling about finding something called "Fool's Crest". Feeling sorry for him, Garret decided to help the person. That and he figured that a person of his age and appearance wouldn't last much more than a day with the time beasts.

After following the old man for several timeless hours, the old man turned, laughed, and chanted something. All of a sudden, Garret found himself surrounded by ten time beasts. Not liking those odds, Garret immediately sliced one of the beasts' arms with his scythe and ran by as it howled in pain.

Lucky for Garret, his speed kept him ahead of the four that followed. He found a hollowed out tree which he hid in until he watched all of the beasts pass him. After they passed, Garret ran the opposite direction into large forest. With the lands frozen in time, the forest was frighteningly quiet. At least gathering food wasn't a problem. The forest had it's share of fruits and herbs which Garret gratefully gathered a plentiful supply. he didn't know how long he'd be here.

Then he smelled something. Smoke? He thought to himself. Quickly, Garret made his way to the top of a tree and sue enough, saw a gentle plume of smoke puffing from something. Well, maybe I won't be alone for too much longer.

Garret hopped down from the tree and made his way to the smoke. A few hours later he found himself at a great wall that must have once protected a fort. Quickly, he found two large wooden doors and went towards them.

"Halt!" a voice shouted.

Garret looked around then up. On top of the wall stood a person with an arrow drawn in a bow.

"Who are you, and why are you here?" the person asked.

Garret waved then spoke, "The name's Garret Sordran. I was chased by some beasts and managed to escape. Then, I saw a a plume of smoke and figured someone must be here. So, I came to maybe find some refuge for some time."

"Damn!" the guard said. "I told them that the fire would draw attention. Were you followed?" Garret shook his head at which point the guard smiled. "Good, then you won't mind if I kill you?"

Garret's eyes grew large. "What?! What are you talking about?" Before he could get an answer, the guard released his arrow. It buzzed right passed Garret's head. "What the hell was that--"

"Silence, idiot! Look behind you!"

Garret turned around and saw a time beast right behind him. The cut on its arm showed that it was the one that Garret injured earlier. Garret blinked a few times and laughed.

"Heh, thanks!" he said embarrassed.

"No need to thank me, just come in," the guard said.

The two large doors opened and Garret roamed inside. Oh, an elven fortress. Garret thought to himself noticing the unique design of the fort. But no elves, strange. In an area off to the side, Garret saw the fire that caused the smoke and kicked dirt on it putting it out. Before the people around it could say anything, Garret shouted at them. "I could see the smoke from that fire from several miles away! Next time you want to remain hidden, wait with the fire until it's needed!"

Well, that must have made a good first impression. Garret thought to himself as he spent the next few hours exploring the fort.

With his retrieved weapon in hand he removed the fruit stashing one in a pouch, as he munched casually on the other. In the meantime his ears pricked towards unknown footsteps as he casually glanced back in the woman’s direction. At this point he could see she wasn’t a threat, and after she finished speaking he offered her a reassuring smile. “There’s no need to apologise wise woman,” He said with a slight bow of his head, as her white cloak reminded him of an older woman he once knew.
But before he spoke again he shot a glance at his bag, before throwing a cautionary glance into the forest behind him.

When he was satisfied all was well for now he waved her over with his spear. “Why don’t you join us?” He offered without glancing at the silent man in the tree. “There’s nice ripe and sweet fruit here, perfect for refreshing yourself before continuing your journey.” The young looking man said genuinely without any negative thoughts or intentions.

"something heavy?"she hummed in consideration and then handed him some cloth
"thats not very covering and doesn't look heavy..."
"just try it"
"ok umm... turn around"she did as he covered himself with the cloth and it suddenly wrapped around him and he fell to the ground"to...much...weight..."
she laughed"you said something heavy this cloth is meant to comfortably cover and protect with a single foot it weighs about 45 pounds when it's protecting"
"can I get it off"
"unfortunately no it never comes off once it's on"
"what about bathing?"
"this stuff does not rust nor does it mildew nor does it cool and nor does it shrink it is not effected by water fire earth or lighting"
"what about wind?"
"magic winds are it's only weakness however normal winds no harm done however with that massive bunch it would take a lot"
"yeah but... I can't move..."
"I understand you have a technique that will increase your strength"
"how would you know about that?"
"just use that"he got up and was ready to learn more

Karasu was woken with a start, when he woke, he realised that an apple had fallen on his head, and then he realised that he'd fallen asleep. Well, he was lucky it wasn't too late in the day, monsters were common to have wandered through here during sunset. Karasu jumped out of the tree's branch, landing nimbly and without sound, then he looked around him, the forest was as it was, he then looked up at the sky. The sun was off it's last position, so it's been around an hour he thought. He then looked back to the field around him, well he was right on the edge of the forest, he could see down to the nearest town, there were no large cities in the Timeless world, since this whole entire dimension sees nothing but peace and harmony, it's anyone's idea of paradise. And standing on front of the nearest town, were two people, a lady and a man with a spear, though no reaction came, they were having a casual talk. They sat by the trees that grew far apart on the edge of the forest. Then Karasu, not knowing what he was doing, walked right over to them, he'd never had any friendly contact with anyone in the Bird Settlement, but he actually prefered it that way, none of them were worth the interest.

"Oh, thank you!" She said, cautiously taking an apple from the tree. "I actually have a small cottage down river aways, off the path a bit..." She leaned against the tree slightly. "Oh, and my name is Leanah Alacqua." She said, feeling slightly awkward.

Her hand flew to her blade as she heard the footsteps. Raising her other hand discreetly, she focused her magic into a beam of light.

“No worries wise woman…White-mage Alacqua,” Kirin said as he referred to her suspected use of white magic, along with traditional terms of his past tribe. “I am Kirin Talon, a Night Spear of the Black Cliffs sept, within the Nakai tribe.” He said as he introduced himself with his full title before adding. “But in this timeless world I’m known as hunter Kirin Talon…” The young man finished with a smile as he tapped the fruit smelling bag with his spear. “I can guarantee you it isn’t fruit I’ve bagged after a trip into the forest.”

As the man up in the tree finally woke up Kirin noted the lack of sound when as he leapt from the tree as he listened to his nearing footsteps. At this point he noted Leanah’s reaction but he didn’t react in the same way as he munched on his second apple. “Greetings stranger,” He said lightly to the man as he kept his spear point down in a relaxed position.

Karasu instinctively jumped backwards as the two strangers readied for a strike, his black hood covered his face, and then the man with his spear greeted with a friendly tone, well these people obviously didn't mean harm unless he did. It was obvious since that lady there was as far as he could tell, was of a light attribute, and that the man there was having a friendly chat, also a good person, he quickly thought upon spotting the fruit that was left around, looks like they were having a nice little picnic. Karasu removed his hood, keeping both of his hands visible to show that he meant no harm, though if they meant harm he could dodge with much ease. He showed his face, the crimson eyes and the messy and long, black hair, his face, seemed pretty mean and meant business to those who saw it, they would get that as the first impression.

"Good afternoon spearman, and lady white magician, i don't mean any harm, and on top of that i don't even know why i'm walking all the way over here", he said, as he slowly eased his stance.

As Thewho was eating, a man entered the fort and yelled
"I could see the smoke from that fire from several miles away! Next time you
want to remain hidden, wait with the fire until it's needed!"

And instantly few of the near by passengers cast some water on the fire, and covered it with
sand and earth so the smoke wont be seen....

Thewho lied on his back on the ground and made a small fire ball in his hand and started playing around
suddenly a mass of wind pass by him and his fie ball turned in to a bigger one and Thewho immediately
cast it away so he wont start a bigger fire.

The man that blew the wind was a short, old bold man...
Thewho greeted him
"Hi, nice fire ball you had there"
"Thanks but please don't do that again, it wasn't funny, I could have burnt my self...."
"Sorry, i didn't mean that, I just couldn't resist. So you have fire element"
"Yes, and I also have wind. But I'm not using it very often."
"I only have wind element, but I'm very skillful with it"
"Oh really, you must be, since you have only one element.
What technique have you developed?"
"Well I got many but since I can't use them in this crowded place
you will have to wait until there is need of my skill"

Thewho seemed to know this men from somewhere, or perhaps he
have seen it some where before...

"Aaaa, can I ask you something?"
"Haha, you just did. Feel free."
"Have we meet before, or have you visited the town of Magicians And Wizards?
"Well those are two questions, but any way, I have been to that for 4 years I was a teacher there.
But I don't believe we have ever met, i haven't been there for 8 years, till now.
Oh, and how rude of me, I'm Celahir."
"Celahir!!! That's where I know you from. You were my teacher for 2 year back in the days,
I'm Thewho."
"Ooo, now when you mention it, you do have a familiar face.
Where you the one that I sent in the forest along with a girl, aaaa, what was her name,
to destroy the blostharts."
"Yes I'm, and the girl was Layla (finally I come up with a name for my wife) she is my wife now"
"Oh, really. You have changed, a lot. You were so small back then. Do you have children.
"Yes I do. Two, one boy and one girl. And they are safe, I hope."
"Why do you say that, aren't they here"
"No, I thought they would be safer in the forest. We have a secret hut there.
"Would you like me to go there and get her. I think I know where the hut is.
You should stay here in case of emergency. They need young and talented
people like you.
"Would you do that for me? Thank you very much."
"Ah, it's nothing, that is the least i could do for one of my best students
Ok, than I better go. The sooner I get there the better."
"Ok see you, and I forget to mention, Layla has good defensive ability, It can be handy
if you get attacked"
"All right, see you soon then"

Celahir walked away...
Thewho was thinking about his family now, and what could have killed his parents.
He was tiered and went to sleep, he thought when he wakes up he will
explore the fort and then go wait for his family.

"Forgive me, sir, I see that you are friendly. Bandits used to be common in there parts, and I had a... rather bad experience with them." She said, relaxing her arms and dispersing her magic. "I am Leanah Alacqua, pleased to meet you."
