So you might be a n00b when it comes down to the BBcodes - fear not, because there is still hope for those out there who do not know!

I decided to make a guide, with examples because simply - not all the forums have this sweet layout where you got all the BBcodes you need at hand!

So without further ado ...


Fonts

So you would like to change the font type, because your special or for whatever reason. The following example works as long as you got the font type installed on your computer vice versa - otherwise it'll just show up as the usual font.

Example:

The Edwardian Script
BBCode: [font= ''FONT-NAME'' ] ''text'' [/font]
Whenever you use it, minus the '' and spaces and it'll work!

And yes the text seems a tat too small - D: We can fix that by editing the size!
BBCode: [ size=25] ''text'' [/size]

The result:

And again may I remind you to leave the spaces out?! :P

Color!

Yes we all love fancy colors and flashy designs and thanks to the options given on this forum we have a few colors we can select from. Now if you are picky and want a specific color which hasn't been pre-laid out than this will help you change the colors manually.

Example:

I love colors!

BBCode: [ color=#CC66CC]I[/color] [ color=#33CCFF]love [/color] [ color=#33FF33]colors[/color]!

As stated before, delete the spaces and it'll work just fine! And here is a link to a color chart which has a vast variety of color codes to use.

Underlined/Bold/Italic

So since I have gone under the Roleplayers, I have gotten into the habit of writing my pieces onto wordpad and whenever I do so I just insert the needed formats.

BBCode Bold: [b ] ''text'' [/b]

BBCode Underlined: [u ] ''text'' [/u]

BBCpde Italic: [i ] ''text'' [/i]

URL

Embedding a URL into a word.

Example:

So everybody around here knows I love
Grimmjow!<--Click it!

BBCode: [ url= Direct link to whatever you want linked!] ''Text''[/url]

Hmm I just realized that the link isn't highlighted ... maybe worth mentioning to Mastaz at some point.

Well the use of spoilers is highly appreciated since seriously - who wants to know how certain things end... If you have to blurrt it out - don't spoil it for the others and tag it appropriately!

Example:

 I can talk and write till my hands bleed but heck am I really that
sad to do so? Actually don't answer that unless you want to be kicked, 
skinned then dunked into a pot of extra hot chilli powder! D:

The code box is a handy thing to use if you want to put up a
Character skeleton for a RP!

Actually - the code box is usually used when you want to explain to someone how to use a certain code but for some reason it isn't working properly! O.o

List

Another way to make a list is with the help of the good old BBCode!

Example:

• green eggs and ham
  milk
  cheese

BBCode:
[ list] green eggs and ham

Aligning text

Examples:

As you can see this is aligned to the left!

dadada

Center, Booyah!

nyah!

Yea - it's right - to your right!

IMGs!

Wanna insert a picture into ya post? No problem - it's easy!

Example:



BBCode: [ img] 'link of the picture'' [/img]

Embedding videos

Youtube

YouTube - Promo - Clinton Woods vs Tavoris Cloud

BBCode: Just copy the URL into your post, nothing else is needed.

htt p://www.youtube.com /watch?v=eY0-B5SrvwI&feature=fvhl (minus the space)

Veoh

http://www.veoh.com/videos/v16601645rRNrpdxf

Instead of having the URL as a link - like this:

http://www.veoh.com/browse/videos/ca...601645rRNrpdxf


Delete the following out of the link -

http://www.veoh.com/[delete]/ [everything in between] v16601645rRNrpdxf

And voila you have the Veoh vid embedded.

For Megavideo, write

minus spaces of course
