Aquarious sounds like an adjective. Aquarius sounds like a noun, and a not-misspelled word.

Umbra works too, but thats a bit harder to catch its relation to water...

As we're on a Naruto based site I thought my first suggestion would be totally unoriginal and be based on that ^^.

The general concept is going to be based on any time other than Naruto’s, either way before in the past or a long time after. With no canon relations, this’ll make people’s characters more original and the story baseline more interesting.

It’ll begin in a random and peaceful hidden village where there’s a bitter taint of corrupt experiments occurring alongside those used for good. This is because the Village basis is creating and forming modern advances (in poisons, antidotes, weapons, soldier pills etc) to help both their own and other villages. In the process this gives them no competition and no problems outside of the village.
For those training and brought up within the village this was an exciting time where discoveries both good and bad happened to be a daily event. Academy wise all kids started off together learning the basics to become a ninja, then as genins some could chose to specialise under special Jounin’s in the arts of coming up with new things to help their village. Or on the other hand they could train under the traditional methods to become a mission based fighting force.
Either way everyone worked together as both forces interacted often, especially as new products after being tested in controlled conditions needed to be tested in real life situations. Accidents tended to be medium/minor but with their elite force of healers it usually wasn’t too much of a problem.

But like all stories nothing tends to stay the same for long, especially when some thought it their right to study the rare bloodline limits. This then branched into further study into how they were formed and if one could be formed and then injected into a normal person forming a new bloodline limit. The processes used could be considered the darker side to the village as they kept the experiments and results in top secrete conditions. Especially as it hadn’t been very successful to date, the only victims were those who’d offered to partake.

Suddenly one day whether it a mass accident or a planned massacre, a series of things started to go wrong as events turned from bad to worse. It began with some people suddenly falling ill after several leaks from the various experiment bases, which eventually lead to a cruel and painful death. This sudden epidemic caused the once normal death toll suddenly started to rise. They were hit by the contamination of both food and water sources, causing further suffering and deaths. To end it all air borne gasses and poisons mixed causing gradually increasing explosions as ninja’s and villagers died against the unbeatable weapon. In the process buildings were blown up, families were broken up as the walls crumbled on the now lost village.

From the rubble a small handful of people from various backgrounds, from kids to the rare adult emerged, all were wounded but alive. For these odd few they’d survived the illness and the contamination, as they set themselves the task of burying both friends and families. Over time they discovered odd changes in their bodies and abilities as they quickened their tasks and limited their time within the village.
Once everything was completed their ragged party attempted to seek aid from other villages, but due to the nature of their villages destruction they were turned away. Also what made things worse was people were discovering they could do strange and new things, each person was different but nevertheless they all stuck together.

The remaining adults trained the younger to protect both themselves and others as they returned to claim land on their former boundaries. Here they built makeshift shelter and lives, as everyone helped each other safely discover their new powers (after one or two deaths) to form what would be new bloodline limits that they could rightfully pass on to the next generations.
But with power came problems, and if it wasn’t the odd accident, it was the continuous threat from other villagers or gangs. Either way they continued to live their lives day by day even though their band consisted mainly of orphaned kids. All were taught daily by the adults at Genin level, as they planned to offer themselves to conduct missions to improve their current lives. Either way only time could say whether their resolve was strong enough to keep them all in line and follow the old rules and customs of their former village.

To sum it up you get to be a kid discovering you have a bloodline limit of your choice, of course its going to be limited as they don’t know what their full potential yet. Either way they can’t be invincible as everything has strengths and limitations.
I thought this would be fun Naruto style as you get all the fun of a Naruto based rp with the added twist. Plus everyone has the same background, even if they were brought up or trained in different ways. Kids have to be genin level at least, then two or three adults (one jounin, one special jounin, and a healer). The future can go anyway, and depending on how it all goes it could be for good or evil, fast paced or slow.

Yeah... Let's think of a name for 'water'...

The word "Alluvione" is Italian for "Flood." I think that is a perfect name in itsself. "Acqua" is Italian for "Water." Free Online Dictionaries is a website I often use for finding stuff like that.

When I come up with names of countries, I like to use Latin a lot. If you're looking for a different name for water, well let's see...

In Latin:
Water = Unda
Flood = Redundo
River = Flumen
Torrent = Amnis

Swedish:
Water = vatten
Liquid = vätska
Flood = högvatten
River = flod

Finnish:
Water = kyyneltyä
Liquid = juokseva
Flood = hulvahtaa
River = joki
