Okay so... There are currently only three True Dragon Slayer Wizards I can only assume that we will be exposed to additional elements as the story continues.

As of now though we have Natsu, Gajeel, and Wendy occupying the powers of Fire, Metal, and Wind respectively. All three of these people refer to the dragons as there mother or father and all of them have an instinctual bond to these creatures though they posses little to no memory of them.

There is alot of mystery surrounding there relationships as well as there dissapearance... it seems all the dragons of the world dissapeared on the same day at the same time... except

One massive, immensly powerful black dragon that nerely killed the most powerful wizard in Fairy Tail's guild. Do you remember that when they had to rearange the town so this guy could find the guild lol good stuff.

My theory is as follows :

I belive that The society of Dragons is much like a monarchal bloodline system with an emphasis on strength. I believe the giant black dragon is the current ruler of the "dragon kingdom" and the "Dragon Slayers" are actually the children of these dragon instilled with the will to become the strongest and one day take the throne... Throughout the various lore and myths in several different cultures dragons were known too have a human form so it wouldnt be that odd to see it here... in addition to this during the Luxus Arc Natsu and Gajeel were not permitted to pass through the barrier due to the fact that they were over 80 years old... to be in there condition is "Superhuman" for there age i would submit that they merely havent formed into there true selves and that at some point they will all battle the ruling Black Dragon as True Dragons.

I know this stuff is a little uncertain and shakey but i think its worth investigating... Dont just read post a comment lemme know what your thinkin?

I believe that Natsu,Gajeel and Wendy are the old dragon slayers.It have been stated in the manga that there was dragon slayers a long time ago.I believe those dragons slayers were re-born into the future.In simple words,Natsu,Gajeel and Wendy were re-born into the future.It would make Natsu,Gajeel and Wendy older than 80 because they were alive many years ago.This is the only logic that I can find about this.

I don't believe that they are currently older than 80 because it won't make any sense.We have manga chapters that clearly shows that they have aged like other people,and I don't think that they aged differently when they were to the side of the dragons because they would have noted the difference.

Touche I forgot about the chapters that show gray natsu and erza as kids... that would seem to indicate some sort of reincarnation...

Grandine is saying that Natsu will meet with Wendy one day,and perhaps a more friendly relationship could be established.

She is talking like Natsu and Wendry already met at some point,but at this moment in the manga they still had not met.

It seems like to me that they are speaking of Natsu and Wendy as extentions of themselves...kinda like how jesus is a piece of "god" but "god" is not jesus thing... wierd reference i know but i think it fits maybe or it could go back to the reincarnation thing

Some sort of event occurred that made them all loose portions of there memory they all seem to be oblivious to the same time period as if they have shared amnesia... I belive during this time all the dragon slayer met each other and then some sort of epic battle insued and then they all lost there memory. It wouldn't be unreasonable to think that the dragons where training them for some sort of contest of strength... seems like something a dragon would do right???
