What TF needs is a change of pace, not everyone (myself included) can draw Sailor Moon or Zetsu (now mind you I can draw a mean stick man!) but my ideas for contests are:

1. Anime Music Video Contest: editing is a pain but free and useful editors on the Net are a dime a dozen

2. Scary Monster Drawing Contest: contestants create the most foul looking beasts they can think of and the ugliest and scariest would actually win O_o

3. Video Game Tournament: this would work best with a free MMORPG or World of Warcraft I would imagine

4. Fanfiction contest: ABSOLUTELY NOOO YAOI AKA!

5. Talent Contest: put what you are good at on video (no pics so photoshopping doesn't become an issue)

6. umm Beauty Contest yeah...: pure smexiness, pic or video.

7. Checkers Tournament: I pretty sure there are some e-mail based checkers games out there.

8. Anime trivia contest: this would be perfect with AOL Instant Messenger or MSN. Pick 5 anime and manga and anounce them 2 weeks ahead of time to give people a little *cough* study time and hold a "Weakest Link" style quiz session. Post the complete session on TF.

Those are my ideas, some maybe more practical than others but I think we should at least look into one of these.
