It was another part of the joke, and another reason for Itachi's expression. Kinda like there's something about the clothes that causes... CHANGES! Or that Kisume has a hidden passion for summer clothing. It's sorta out there for interpretation.

The only way I could even surpass that would be if I'm looking at something.

The last time I drew Spikey hair was Super Saiyan 2 Gohan, but I drew that while looking in a Shonen Jump.
