I'm sort of new here, and I will be entering this contest. I think it's great, b/c I LOVE contests! But most of the ones I enter are writing contests... Too bad, huh? I'm working on my chibi now. I wasn't going to enter, but then I got this REALLY cute idea, and I just HAD to do it! I don't have photoshop or anything like that, so all I have to work with are colored pencils! Still, it's not too bad I guess, for a person who can write better than they draw. I'm intimidated because I have seen some REALLY good drawings on here so far! Well, good luck to all! I should have mine before the deadline.

well Angel_Masta...u r correct but i spent time longer not because i struggle, i just do the shadings and other things to make my drawing look better...

Welcome! I actually joined this forum because of the Valentine's Day contest, lol. Yeah, they're alot of fun and pretty frequent. Most people don't have photoshop so don't worry about that. Authors are just as important (if not more so) than artists so keep it up! Don't be intimidated, there are some really bad ones and some really good ones, just do your best!

Yeah, I'm kind of the same way. I'm a super perfectionist so it usually takes me forever to do a drawing because I change it a million times. By the time I'm actually done with a drawing I've got a pile of eraser shreds and pencil shavings at my feet and all over my dresser, lol.

yeah, most of the time my first attempt is my best attempt, if i try and make a better one i always get something wrong and i wont spend hours on a drawing maybe half an hour or so. But fair enough if you take time to perfect everything like shadows etc, it will look better.

Well, i heard about this contest from my brother
and soon i will have a picture up. I like the idea of
the theme being chibi, very interesting. Some people
i saw so far doesn't really follow this theme but its still
drawings with good efforts i suppose. For me, i will have
a chibi one, and not to offend anyone but i'm aiming straight
for the top place and i really confident in myself.
