That even the best of us, from time to time are forced to eat our words, dramatically and publically, for all to see. On another thread, I offhandedly remarked about Code Geass and what I thought of it. I argued that I had given it for than a fair crack .
Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, and wrong again.
Well, I won't say that its one of the greats. It is however a very enjoyable series, containing a nice mix of playfullness and menace. The pacing has been good so far as well. So not all Faux-Euro animes suck after all.

No, actually, I am right in the middle of episode eight of series one. However, I am thinking that if there is a lesson to be learnt from all of this is never watch a shonen-mecha series for the first time with someone who positively loaths the genre. Now, I've come to see the error of my ways and willfully admit how enjoyable it actually is.
Despite it ripping off Seed of course, but then that should be obvious.

well wouldn't say ripping off seed. it is a mecha type of anime and sunrise is also part of code geass

you'll see later on, alot of surprising moments.

Hehe, yea I wasn't a huge fan either the first few episodes of Geass season 1. I will say this however, season 2 has taken everything I loved from season 1 and took it to a whole different level. Season 2 might be the best anime I've seen.

Well, so far I have seen two old friends meeting up at random, on opposite sides no less, and then proceeding to have a bit of a barney. Though I will grant that as of yet (ep 11) that neither is aware of the other's involvement.
Then you have the military girl and the pink haired, peace loving princess. You also have the ever so slightly tempermental female with a soft spot for one of blokes. Add it all up, and looks like Seed to me. Again, I will concede that this show doesn't take itself quite as seriously. And thanks be to that. It definately gives itself more of the FMP, touched off with a little Ouran. FMP was the last Mecha series I really enjoyed, who knows how far CG will reach?

The first season I thought was a little better. The second season was a little boring, and doesn't have that Code Geass feel to it. Personally, I liked the first one better, but that's just me..

Heh...you know, all animes are rip off from one another in some ways or another. Heck, most of the things we use today are rip off of one another. Nothing new there.

Code Geass was one of those animes that really did pull off of several others aswell as Sunrises own history. With one stating that it just wouldnt be a sunrise show without the mask that lelouch wears. (which might i add was a CLEAR take off from the one and only Char)

dunno abt u all....but i loved CG....just wish it had more episods......CG isnt all abt the mecha though.....i bet u will definately luv the ending.....if u hav watched deathnote its kinda similar to tat......though Light went totally insane in de end...Lelouch is just osm!!
