Ok, I'm sorta a newcomer to bleach and heres something that I don't understand ... So I was wondering if anyone could help me. So what I don't understand is why in Rukongai(in the soul sociaty) that soul like rukia and Renji aged there(grew up there) and other soul that are transported there by Death gods don't age anymore?? Hopefully my question made sense...Please someone help me figure this out!

I think they do age actually. It's just that their lives are really long. I don't know how far you are, but have you seen the Captain Commander yet? He's really old.

Yes I have. HE is really old but some of the character look like they do not age at all so far.

P.s. At ep. 100 now(still long way to go lol)

Well, you may be able to understand the scale better once the anime catches up with the manga.

Well, if you use our normal years, here's how it goes

from 1-20 (GIANT change in appearance)

21-30 (VERY little change)

31-45 (depending, very slight changes)

45-60 (moderate change, or high amount of change depending on health)

60+ (you show little to no change, and then you just die)

There you have it... I estimate that 100 years there is equivalent to 10 years in human years.

Seeing as Byakuya during the Pendulum Arc which was 100 years before the current events, Byakuya seemed like he was 13 or 12 or something, and during the present, he seemed to be about, early twenties or late teens.

So yea, I estimate 100 Shinigami years are 10 human years approximately.

There's another clue when Rukia (who appears to be Ichigo's age) says that she's lived around ten times longer than Ichigo.

That was like in the 1st episode or something
