I would without a doubt pick wind and water. Wind makes for an awesome combination of defense and attack, add water to the wind and you could get typhoons, etc. Kind of like how Sasori used water, you could make the water powerful enough to cut through rock.
Plus, like someone said earlier, wind and water are perfect defenses for fire.
