This may be kind of long. X.X
The first time I saw Naruto was when the first episode ever aired on CN some years ago when I was in 10th grade. I had seen previews for it and was interested in it, and that night no one was home but me and my sister so I was in control of the remote!
I thought it was pretty interesting, but it turned out that was the only opportunity I had to watch 'cause my parents HATE anime. X_X
A couple times after that I got to watch parts of some episodes and became more interested in it. Over several months I only got snatches of what I didn't know at the time was the SAME episode. It was during those snatches of episodes that I saw a lot of awesomeness and became a fan.
After a while I started to dislike the show because the "Hero" was a complete idiot and didn't have half the power he thought he had. For a LOONG time I didn't like it. (Sasuke was arrogant, Sakura SUCKED, Naruto was an IDIOT, etc. etc.) Then I watched the hotel episode where Itachi tells Sasuke that he is weak (xD) and we liked it again. After a few episodes my boyfriend started to dislike it, then so did I. Then I DID like it again, and so did my boyfriend. Again. So he downloaded ALL the Naruto episodes to his compy, and we watched as far as Sarutobi being killed by Orochimaru, and his funeral, then my boyfriend didn't like it anymore. I refused to let him control my opinion about it, so I continued to like it.
But it REALLY wasn't till I started watching Shippuuden episodes that I became a hardcore fan of the show. All the characters who previously sucked now totally rocked. xD Now I'm fully obsessed, and so is my husband! WOO! There is NO turning back now! xD
