yea but would you agree that those 6 people Jairaya fought were random characters until they were just introduced in the fight as people Jairaya knew? The writers do a good job of introducing new characters through flashbacks. There's probably gonna be some sort of flash back by one of the other characters like Tsunade that introduces who Pain really is. So there's the possibility that he's someone we haven't seen yet/the writers haven't introduced us to yet. You're right, Jairaya knows who it is, that doesn't mean its someone we already know. Thats what make the show interesting man 8)
